Welcome to my Spring Clean Cleanse! This pro-gram incorporates an anti-inflammatory diet and supplements to assist your amazing body do what it does best - stay healthy and balanced. Cutting out inflammatory foods often helps me feel more accomplished, energetic and clear-headed, and I hope it does the same for you.

I am a Naturopathic Doctor but I may not be YOUR Naturopathic Doctor. Make sure it’s safe for you to do a cleanse/detox (i.e. not for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people on certain medications).

NOTE: Length of the cleanse is up to you. I recommend at least 12-14 days. I suggest doing a thoughtful reintroduction of each avoided food item, one at a time, once you are done with your cleanse. Please avoid reintroducing many avoided foods at once. For more info ask me!

Daily Life on the Cleanse

This all depends on you! At least 12 – 14 days is recommended for optimal benefits.

These are things you should aim to avoid but do the best you can and remember the 80/20 rule.

TAKE YOUR SUPPLEMENTSSee the next page for the tools and supplies list. You’ll take the following daily: protein powder, detox supplement, fiber, digestive enzymes, electrolytes. Get organized with a pill keeper if it helps you remember to take them. Hot tip: carry your supplements with you when you go out.

• All Dairy• Refined and Added Sugar• All Gluten Grains• White rice, white• Bread

• Fruit Juice• Dried Fruit• Eggs• Soy• Peanuts

• Alcohol• Caffeine (Green Tea is OK)• Processed Meats• Grain-fed/Non-Organic Meats• Shellfish

• Carrageenan• Maltodextrin• Food Flavoring Additives• Artificial Sweeteners• Aspartame, Sucralose, etc)

DRINK YOUR WATERDrinking water will help mitigate any potentially unpleasant symptoms. Take in plenty of plain water during the day! A common recommendation is at least half your body weight in ounces per day. (ex. Drink 80 oz for a 160 lb person). Hot tip: room temperature or warm is best for digestion.

KEEP YOUR BOWLS MOVINGSlow bowels can happen - stay on top of it! Constipation can make unpleasant cleanse symptoms worse. Magnesium citrate, enemas, fiber + water, and probiotics can all help.

CLEANSE JOURNALTrack your symptoms daily. Are you noticing anything new or different in your body? Make a “G.E.B.Y” list every day of the cleanse.
