I am looking for a position as an executive leader, to demonstrate my ability to achieve immense results, success, and my heart for improving urban academic systems, as I am the children I serve. In my current position I am the CEO and Principal for Green Tech High Charter School (GTH). I have developed systems that work for minority and economically disadvantaged youth. I know how to improve culture, create strategic plans, and creatively improve tight budgets to enhance the organizations academic results. I have the ability to support the organizations mission and goals at a very high level.

I wanted to also mention that I am aware of the size of the district and the task at hand. I am asking that you please take a chance and meet me in person. I ask that the you not screen me out. You will see I am currently running my own Charter School (one of the most successful in the country), and I have public school experience as well. However, you will learn that I don't fail. My track record is impeccable and my heart is of a lion for kids that look like me. I build systems that work for children that look like me and have a background like I do. If you want change and you want something different, you have to try something different. I have strategies and systems that work if given the opportunity to implement them. Leadership is transcendent and I have the ability and creativity to support your schools towards increasing results to the next level. I promise you won't be disappointed; all I ask is for an opportunity to have an interview.

In my current placement, GTH was foun°ded to help serve a population of young men who unfortunately have struggled to graduate from High School. GTH is composed of over 97% Black males, with 87% of our population meeting the low income free/reduced lunch status. Green Tech High Charter School prepares young men to complete high school with a Regents diploma so they will have the opportunity to attend college or choose an alternative, responsible career path as they enter adulthood.

Green Tech has consistently graduated over 95% of its young men and those students have earned upwards of 15 million dollars in scholarship money yearly. Comparatively, 37% of Black males graduate high school within New York State (Schott Foundation, 2012). Additionally, I opened a middle school in 2019 to begin servicing young men younger in order to close the achievement gaps sooner. GTH students have established success due to the supportive interventions built into the school day, strong academics, caring, qualified teachers and staff, consistent data analysis, service learning, and outstanding athletics. I have worked collaboratively to provide a holistic approach to educating children by meeting their

  • basic needs. I am able to translate these successes to a large environment by holding true to best practices and high moral authority.

GTH has achieved a 100% rate of college acceptance every year of our existence, which plays a crucial role for the achievement of the school mission. I have been successful in leading Green Tech High to succeed in our mission by providing a complete high school curriculum, backed by a philosophy and culture immersed in data, that ensures every student will attain the skills and coursework necessary for a Regents diploma; including the use of computer technology, providing an understanding of how technology impacts our future and instills a knowledge of environmental factors including human impact and sustainability.

I am a hard working individual that is intrinsically motivated because I desire to see students succeed academically and in life. I have been able to positively effect change at GTH, the Albany Community, and in my previous employment with the Rochester City School District as well. My experience at GTH not only as a Principal, but as a CEO has given me knowledge in regards to human resources, finances recruitment and enrollment marketing, teacher/human development and students success. Specifically, mentioning a huge increase in financial viability over the last 9 years. Success is always my goal and priority, and I have . been able to successfully inspire change academically, culturally, and from an operational standpoint by utilizing a results orientated philosophy in everything I do.

I am confident in my ability to effect change. I use moral authority and competence to lead staff, students, and the community. If given the opportunity, I desire to demonstrate my skills as an effective leader. I appreciate your consideration and I am available for an interview at your earliest convenience.
