Highlights of past years

▪ 2007 - Awarded NJ South chapter equipment grant

▪ 2011 - USL grant for AED and CPR training for

coaches

▪ 2011 & 12 - 7/8 Boys team went 7-0 in tournaments

▪ 2012 - 80% of the HS freshmen made the HS team

▪ 2013 – 7/8 boys win Lightning Tourny

▪ 80% of K2 kids are now in the Dragons program

5

Safety is our most important goal ▪ Full gear for practices is required

– Boys - mouth guard/cup/helmet/etc, or no practice

– Girls – mouth guard, goggles, stick

▪ Portable AED is at every game, most coaches already trained

and located in the shed at the fields during the season

▪ Concussions – anyone suspected of having a concussion will

no longer play until cleared by a doctor

– New training for all coaches coming

▪ At the end of the day, if the kids go home healthy with a smile

on their face, we have done our job

6

Winter activities ▪ Use of the Robbinsville bubble this year: – Primary goal in to teach basic skills and

strategies that can be used once the weather gets nicer in March outdoors (hopefully)

▪ Stick skills, dodging, scooping and

cradling are the key skills that are needed.

▪ Great opportunity to work on improving or learning new skills, such as long pole defense or off hand usage

▪ Full gear will be worn

▪ Trying to get bubble time for each year now, either Robbinsville or Monroe

7

Fundraising

There are no mandatory fundraising activities, however there

several avenues that help us keep registration costs down:

▪ Fall Lacrosse – Now our largest fund raiser

▪ Jr Dragons – Our biggest source of new players

▪ Dragon Garb – A portion of the sale for each item goes back

to the Dragons

However still need everyone to help during games, picnics

and other events

Optional fundraiser – Shooter shirts, long & short

sleeve
