6. Sheet A1.3: Construction Fencing Add a note pointing to the Playground area that reads: “Provide Construction Fencing and BMP’s around Playground per Drawing C5 as part of Bid Alternate #1. 7. Sheet A1.3: Handrails on Ramp Ramp to have a handrail on each side of ramp. It’s difficult to see, but it is shown on both sides in plan. In detail 10, note that the design does not include 6” curb on ramp. 8. Sheet A1.4: Finishes Plan: Add sheet A1.4 to the drawings set. This sheet calls for various finishes and improvements to the three modular classrooms, including but not necessarily limited to new flooring, interior paint, ceiling tiles, replacement of 6 interior tack able wall panels, exterior coat hook systems, light fixture lamping, roof coating, and gutters.

9. Sheet A1.4: Finishes Plan: Revise note 1, Enlarged Modular Classroom Plan to read:

1. District will remove all carpet, VCT, and base prior to the start of construction.

10. Sheet A1.4: Finishes Plan: Revise note 1, Reflected Ceiling plan to read:

a. District will remove all ceiling tiles prior to the start of construction. Provide new ceiling tiles per Finishes Legend and Specifications, ACT-1.

11. Sheet C1 Demolition and Erosion Plan: Add the sawcut symbol to include the concrete footings required along the centerline of each modular. See C2 and SF-1 for additional information.

has been installed. Modify countertop to accommodate sink. Provide and Install new sink:

A. Elkay 25”x17x6.5 ADA stainless-steel drop-in sink Model number CDKAD2517652, LK35 drain kit, LK1141A Bubbler, and LK 1500CR ADA faucet, along with associated drain piping, water service piping, and LavGuard protection.

13. Sheet A1: Meehleis Modular Building Drawings: Remove and dispose existing small tank water heaters installed in the knee space of each classroom. Install new 6-gallon water heaters in cabinet beside each sink in each classroom. Remove shelf and bore holes and grommet thru cabinet wall for connections. Water Heaters shall be:

AO Smith 6 gallon under counter water heater, model number EJC-6, with standard plug.

14. Sheet A5: Meehleis Modular Building Drawings: Disregard sheet A5 in the MMBI drawing set. This sheet showed building layouts in the original 1997 project. 15. Sheet P-1 Meehleis Modular Building Drawings: Add a note “Extend condensate drains to discharge into 12”x12” block out in paving above infiltration trench.

16. Sheet M2.2: Add the following Regarding Bid Alternate #2:

BID ALTERNATE #2 includes providing the concrete pads, condensing units, refrigerant liquid and suction line sets, electrical connections, cooling coils, condensate drains, etc. Electrical work shown on the electrical drawings to remain in base bid with the exception of final feeders from the subpanel to condensing units are to be included in the alternate.

17. Scope Clarifications: Modular Classrooms to be re-installed in conformance with the original Meehleis Modular Buildings, Inc, drawings, including but not limited to the following:

A. On Sheet SF-1, the Geotechnical Engineer has reviewed the project site and found the soil conditions are acceptable to not require the concrete footings at the corners of the Modulars, as described in the sheet note in Detail 10. Each classroom to get new foundations along the centerline as shown.

B. Provide Plywood Draft barriers below buildings at the water riser. Install new insulation and heat tape at new water risers as shown on P-1.

C. Provide new pressure treated foundation boards at all foundations per Sheet SF-1.

D. Provide new plywood skirting at all exposed wood foundation systems. TTUSD to paint once installed.

E. TTUSD will be painting the exterior of the Modular Classrooms while staged at Rideout, and will paint skirts, soffits, trims, and general touch-up once installation is complete at Tahoe Lake Elementary School.

18. Electrical Clarifications: District would like all Data Cabling (including telecommunications workstation outlets, wireless access points, security cameras and IP based clock speakers) to be replaced with new Cat-6/6A Cables throughout. Quantity and color of cables and jacks to be color coded per District standard as noted below. Revise Sheet notes 5/E1.0, F/E1.1, etc., to indicate all new Data Cabling.

District’s Cabling Color Standards:

a. Blue for workstation data, 2 Cat-6 drops each. b. Yellow for Wireless Access Points (WAP), 2 Cat-6A drops

each c. Grey for security and surveillance cameras, 1 Cat-6 each d. Green for speakers and clocks, 1 Cat-6 each e. White for analog phones, 1 Cat-6 each (none currently in

scope) f. Purple for building automation systems, , 1 Cat-6

each (none currently in scope)

PROJECT MANUAL AND GENERAL CLARIFICATIONS:

19. Insurance Clarification: Add the following to section General Conditions Section 13.1.7.4 "Claims Made coverage is only acceptable for Professional Liability Coverage. All other liability coverages must be on an occurrence basis. (See 13.1.1.3)"

20. Pre-Qualification Clarification: If the sum of the base bid and all alternates does not exceed ($1M), General Contractors and first-tier electrical, mechanical, and plumbing subcontractors are not required to be prequalified.

21. Pre-Bid meeting Agenda. See attached Agenda from the Pre-Bid Meeting held on 3.10.2021. 22. Lay Down Areas and Staging: See attached diagram of Lay Down Area diagrams at each site as approved by the District. The classrooms at Rideout School will be available for disassembly starting on June 7, 2021. They may be staged at the Rideout site in the laydown area as shown for duration of the contract. Staged classrooms shall be fenced. Contractor responsible for temporary protection of Modulars while staged.

B. Bid Schedule:

96161 (530) 587-1620 for the cost of the prints. 2. Bidders must register with Rose to be put on the list to receive addenda. 3. Final questions are due to Rob Koster by Noon on Wednesday March 24th, 2021. 4. Final addendum will be issued by COB on Friday March 26th, 2021. 5. Bids are due on Wednesday March 31st, by 2:00 PM at the District Office – Gymnasium

11603 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, CA 96161. The building is not visible from Donner Pass Road – it is behind the fire house.

6. The official bid clock will be located in the gymnasium. 7. General contractors and MEP subcontractors must be Prequalified to bid on the project. 8. Roofing subcontractors must be Garland approved installers. 9. The contract will be brought to TTUSD Board meeting on April 7th, 2021. 10. A notice of award will be sent out on Thursday, April 8th, 2021.

C. Construction Schedule:

1. Insurance, bonds, and executed contract due within 5 days of notice of award. 2. Construction begins on or about June 25th, 2021 at TLE, work may start at RO on June

14. If no more snow days work may start earlier at TLE. 3. Substantial completion is expected by August 20th 4. Liquidated damages apply starting August 21, 2021 at $1,000 per day.

D. Scope

The Selective demolition and construction necessary for the relocation of 3 modular classrooms from the Rideout campus to the Tahoe Lake Elementary (TLE) campus; an alternate to remove and replace the playground at TLE and an alternate add cooling to the 3 portable classrooms. Generally, these categories of work involve site work, building relocation and installation, connection of utilities, new finishes, re-roofing, and removing and replacing the modular furnaces. The Project will involve barricading of work areas.

E. Alternates

1. Alternate #1 Playground Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment and barricading required to remove the existing play apparatus, wood and concrete retaining walls and curb ramps, and playground surfacing. Reconstruction in includes grading and drainage, concrete ramps and handrails, and procurement and installation of all playground equipment. Bid alternate includes the Play Craft Timber Border system and Fibar playground surfacing.

2. Alternate #2 Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment required to install condensing units at the 3 modular classrooms. Includes providing the concrete pads, condensing units, refrigerant liquid and suction line sets, electrical connection, cooling coils, condensate drains, etc. Electrical work, shown on the electrical drawings to remain in the base bid with the exception of the final feeders from the subpanel to the condensing units.

F. Substitutions 1. If you do wish to make a substitution, this must be submitted by March 19, 2021.

G. Public Contract Code & TTUSD Requirements 1. This project is subject to all the requirements of the PCC and prevailing wage. Know the

code and there will be no exceptions. 2. Class B license is required. 3. All procedures for submittals, shop drawings, substitutions, RFI’s, payment requests,

etc, must be in accordance with the project manual. 4. Occupied campus:

i) While this project is scheduled to will occur during summer break, our campuses are public, and the community will still use the fields and playgrounds. Staff will also be on site occasionally. Please be considerate of these activities and people.

ii) No smoking, tobacco products or alcohol at all. iii) Be safe at all times. Students are curious. iv) At a minimum, long pants and short sleeve shirts required – no profanities, tobacco

or alcohol advertisements allowed. v) Deliveries only between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm – this is a residential neighborhood

and we want to be a good neighbor. vi) Do not block access for staff or emergency providers at any time.

5. Finger Printing certification is required. 6. Secure all materials, equipment and trailers at all times. 7. Schedule all shutdowns with TTUSD: Rob Koster at least 7 days in advance. 8. Contractor to provide their own trailer, storage, restroom, and phone. No indoor restroom

use will be allowed. This job does not require a trailer unless the contractor wants to install one for convenience. A classroom can be made available for the contractor’s office.

H. Hazardous materials removal 1. None anticipated. The District has performed HazMat investigations a report is pending.

2. However, specification section 00 73 56 details what to do if you suspect hazardous materials. We want to protect your workers, the school staff and community. Please stop immediately and follow the procedures.

I. Other 1. Debarred, suspended or contractors in process of debarment are not permitted to bid on

this project. 2. The project manual contains Special Conditions – please review and ask questions if

you have any. 3. Bids must include:

(a) Completed bid form – signed (b) Site visit certification form. (c) List of subcontractors form filled out completely (d) Non collusion affidavit (e) Bid bond for 10% of the value of the bid is required (f) Iran Contracting form if bid exceeds $1M

4. All other documents and certifications are not required until contract execution. 5. PLM bonds must be accompanied by a certificate from the Placer County Clerk’s office

which verifies the surety has authority to act as surety upon bonds in CA. 6. Normal district maintenance will be on going. Please work with them if they need access. 7. Provide fencing for laydown areas – protect your equipment and materials. 8. Dumpster must be fenced at the end of each day. Do not put food or food trash in the

open dumpsters. This will attract bears and other wildlife to the campus. 9. Temp Facilities, Electrical Power (110) is available from outlets on site. Water is

available from hose bibs on site. If a need is greater than what is in place, the contractor is responsible to provide it.

10. TTUSD will pay for all special inspections. 11. Contractor to provide porta johns, no use of internal restrooms is permitted. 12. Access and staging- contractor shall us existing access roads and driveways. The

laydown area must be limited to the area around the scope of work.

J. DSA Requirements: 1. This is a DSA project, a DSA inspector will be assigned to this project. The DSA

Sacramento Field Engineer will make period visits.

K. Walk scope areas including the loading zones (ALL) 1. Contractor responsible to protect all finishes not being disturbed including driveways,

sidewalks and, landscaping 2. Contractor responsible for keeping non construction areas clean and for clean-up of
