The Dream Catcher project’s main goal is to implant “Entrepreneur mindset for youth” by being aware of problems of Korean education that hinder growing youth to dream big.

Induction Seminar

What we will do :

•Introduce about AIESEC

•Explain DREAM CATCHER project

•Get to know about Korean educational system and its impact on youth’s dream

• Personally set goals to achieve until the end of the project

Expected effects :

•Be closer with OCs(Organizing Committee) and other EPs(Exchange Participants)

• You can have a better understanding of the project before it officially starts.

Non-summit conference

What we will do :

• Program will be proceeded like TV program ‘non-summit conference’ , and AIESEC member will control flow of the program to not deviate from the topic.

• EPs should prepare visible materials to compare and analyze the education system between their own

country and South Korea.

• Two speakers should be able to explain the atmosphere of their educational environment.

• Visiting alternative school / operating the program with students.

Expected Effects :

• Learn how Korean education has affected dreams of students from elementary school to higher education.

• EPs can understand differences between Korean education system and that of their countries.

• EPs can secure professional and diverse position of opinions by two experts.

• EPs can consider solutions to Korean educational problem by visiting an alternative school which has

different education system from typical Korean schools.

What we will do :

• EPs will prepare their session by sharing their country’s elementary education and recalling the dream they had when they were elementary students.

•EPs will prepare to share unique jobs and possible paths that are available to take in their countries.

•Dream Catcher team will prepare for props and pictures that are needed in dreaming sharing time and

other activities.

• EPs will be put into each group and by discussing deeply about the dream with elementary students, we

hope to add global mindsets in their dream.

Expected Effects :

• EPs will be able to understand similarities and differences between Korean education

and their own countrys’.

•EPs will be able to perceive elementary students’ understanding of dream.

• EPs can motivate younger students to dream big through dream sharing session.

• By DGs having a time with foreign students and learning novel jobs, they will equip with a broader

understanding of their dream and dream big.

Highschool students campaign

What we will do :

• EPs will share goods/bads about their group’s ideas to reorganize the problem of 4th week and establish a final draft to operate the campaign with DGs.

• DGs will operate the campaign by themselves. They will record their thought about the campaign after it

is finished. (To ensure the autonomy of DGs, Dream Catcher team should help out DGs to minimize the

interference)

• When campaign is over, there will be time to share opinions. The whole session will be wrapped up by

listening to Suhyeon’s story and sharing of accomplishing our dreams.

Expected Effects :

• EPs will truly understand what Dream Catcher Project means by reorganizing and operating the

campaign with DGs.

• EPs will be able to think deeply about the true meaning of developing local communities observing

the progress of campaign.

• By experiencing and witnessing the goal of the project being fulfilled, DGs will become

satisfied with their achievement.

• Through organizing the project and operating the campaign, DGs can put meanings into it. Moreover,

they can also recognize the problems of Korean education and think deeper about their own dreams.

Forum(1)

What we will do :

• Dream Catcher team will have a forum with Korean university students about teenager’s dream and Korean education. EPs will work as a facilitator there.

• EPs will have time to learn about Korean education system beforehand.

• For a forum, EPs will have time to prepare for it every week.

Expected Effects :

• By EPs communicating with Korean university students, they can clearly recognize the result

of the Korean education.

• EPs can learn supporting leadership to accomplish one communal goal.

• DGs can become the active member of the society to solve social problems and will feel

proud of their achievement.

• Moreover, by communicating with foreigners, EPs can cultivate global mindsets.
