TERMS & CONDITIONS

ELIGIBILITY

Any individual including homeowners, architects, interior

designers or contractors may enter haven/The Edge MyDream Home Contest 2015. Where the person submitting

the entry is not the registered owner of the Dream Home,

written consent of the registered owner must be obtained.

LOCATION OF THE DREAM HOME

The Dream Home must be located in Peninsular Malaysia.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. All entries must be accompanied with fully completed

entry forms together with the requisite supporting

documents.

2. Photographs

• Each entry must include properly captioned colour

photographs of the interior, exterior and immediate

surrounding of the Dream Home mounted on NOT

more than two (2) A3 size cardboard mounts.

• The name of the person submitting the entry, the

name of the registered owner (if different), address of

the Dream Home, age of the building, name of the

designing architect (if any), interior designer (if any) and

the date (month and year) of the photographs taken

must be clearly printed on the back of the mounts.

Please state if photographs carry any copyright.

3. CD containing soft copies of the images• All images should be properly captioned

• Images should be in JPEG/TIFF/EPS format with a

minimum of 300dpi resolution

• The CD should be clearly labeled with the name of the

registered owner (if different), address of the Dream

Home, age of the building, name of the designing

architect (if any), interior designer (if any) and the date

(month and year) of the photographs taken.

4. Additional materials

• Articles published in magazines or books and videos

taken of the Dream Home may be submitted.

• Photographs of the occupants and family members;photographs of the neighbourhood; other images or

write-up can also be submitted.

• Each additional item submitted should be

labeled clearly.

5. Multiple entries can be submitted, but each must be

accompanied by a separate entry form. All expenses

incurred in submitting the entries (including carriage/

postage) are to be borne by the person submitting theentries.

6. All entries submitted will become the property of The

Edge Communications Sdn Bhd and will not be

returned.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Judging criteria will include:

Category: Detached/Semi-detached homes;

Terraced homes; and Condominiums

• Comfortable living

• Aesthetically pleasing

• Well maintained• A sustainable development that is also environmentally

friendly

• Having character of neighbourliness

Category: Green homes

• Innovative sustainable design that provides an

aesthetically pleasing and comfortable living environment

while reducing environmental impact

- Conservation / efficient consumption of water and

energy

- Insulation from heat

- Natural ventilation and lighting

- Use of renewable energy

- Built to last

• Usage of green building materials

- Local/natural renewable/recycled materials

JUDGING

Judging will be conducted by a panel of five judges.

Judges’ decisions are final.

SHORTLISTED ENTRIES

The shortlisted entries will be displayed at an exhibition.

WINNING ENTRIES• The judges will pick a Gold winning entry and a Silver

winning entry for each category. However, the judges

reserve the right not to name any winning entry in a

particular category in the event that they find there is no

entry that deserves to win.

• Any costs and expenses incurred in attending the

awards ceremony is the responsibility of the winners.
