DRILL AND BLAST PROCESS MANAGEMENT

WORKSHOP

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?- Mining Engineers - Blast Engineers- Mine Managers - Mining Managers- Mine overseers - Technical Managers- Mine Planners - Supervisors responsible- Blast Personnel for drilling and blasting

DELEGATES WILL HAVE A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF:- Blast design considerations - The drill and blast process from planning to blasting- Blast domains - The concept of a Drill and Blast Process Tree

GAIN PRACTICAL INSIGHTS INTO:- What the entire process, from planning to blasting, entails.- Vital aspects to take into account when planning a blast.- The impact drilling and blasting practices have on safety, risk and operational effectiveness.- Aspects to manage and/or monitor during the process.

Added financial benefits from effective drill and blast practices are realised in the reduction in milling and process costs and improvement in mining equipment efficiencies. The objective of the Drill and Blast Process Management Workshop is to provide you with a better understanding of the technical aspects behind the blast design, the various steps in the Drill and Blast Process Tree and the management of the process to assist your Operations to realise the benefits of effective drilling and blasting.

DRILLING AND BLASTING HAS AN IMPACT ON:- Slope stability - Bench/face condition- Inter-bench and overall slope angles - Ore recovery- Dilution - Fragmentation- Muck-pile shape - Hanging wall/roof conditions and

excavation dimensions
