12 Main motor start button Spindle speed change control

The 12 steps of the spindle speed are accomplished by a gear driving system and 2-speed motor. To change the speed, first stop the motor.Turn the speed change handles (10 and 11) to the desired position. Then turn the switch (20) to position 1 or 2. The speed for forward is selected. Turn the switch to position “R” for the same speed in reverse running.

Spindle feed operationAutomatic feedFirst stop the motor. Turn the feed change lever (7) tot the desired feed rate on the feed chart. Push down the button (5) on the end of the hand feed lever (4) to engage the electromagnetic clutch. Auto feed with the selected speed starts. If you need to stop during the process, push button (5) on the control panel to disengage the electromagnetic clutch.

Hand feedTurn the handle (4) counter clockwise for hand feed of the spindle during drilling.

TappingThe auto feed button should not be pushed down when tapping, because the spindle feeds according to the pitch. For safety, please turn the tapping select button (19) to the tapping position and keep it interlocked with auto feed.

Spindle resetThe balance and reset of the spindle are accomplished by the coiled spring. The force of spindle balance can be adjusted by loosening the screw and turning the angle of the spring housing.Tool loading and unloading

Tool loadingPush in the tool loading lever (14) towards the spindle box. The limit shaft blocks the spindle sleeve from rising to its limit height. Push the tool taper shank into the spindle bore and fit tightly.

Tool unloadingPull the tool unloading lever out. Grasp the tool with one hand, turn hand feed lever (4) with another hand. The spindle rises rapidly. The tool shank knocks into the ram on the end of the spline shaft. The tool is pushed out.

Important remarks1. Never pull out the tool unloading lever (14) while the machine is running. It is dangerous because when the

spindle rises and the ram on the end of the spline shaft knocks into the tool taper shaft, the tool will drop.2. In case the tool taper shank fits in the spindle bore too tightly, turn the hand feed lever (4) quickly and make

the tool taper shank knock into the ram three times. If the tool still does not come out, extend the spindle sleeve and use a tool unloading wedge to knock down the tool.

Control of the feed depthThe cutting depth is set by moving the scale nut on the scale rod. In batch production, the cutting depth is controlled by loosening screw (3), turning the hand wheel (2) and moving the scale nut to the desired depth.

Coolant systemTurn coolant pump switch (18) to the ‘on’ position, then turn the coolant valve (9) to control the coolant supply.

Work table bracketBy loosening lever (23) and turning lift handle (1) the work table bracket can be elevated to its desired height. It can also swing around the column.By loosening lever (21) the work table can be rotated on the center at ± 180°.Do not forget to clamp the levers (22 and 23) tightly after adjustment. If you loosen the 4 nuts M14 on the bracket and remove the roller pin, the work table can be tilted ± 45°. To reset the bracket, readjust the table with accuracy conform G5 and push the roller pin back in.

Spindle box and gear boxBy loosening lever (6) and turning lift handle (8), the spindle box together with the gear box can be elevated to its desired height. It can also swing around the column. Do not forget to clamp the lever (6) tightly after adjustment. If you loosen the 4 nuts M14 on the bracket and remove the roller pin, the work table can be tilted ± 45°. To reset the bracket, readjust the table with accuracy conform G5 and push the roller pin back in.
