Official LONGITUDE Vehicle Sponsor – Land Rover of North America Land Rover of North America is providing six pre-owned Discovery vehicles for LONGITUDE. All will have the Drive Around the World LONGITUDE graphics package and special performance upgrades. Four of the vehicles will make the 32,000+ mile journey while the other two will be used at North American auto shows and special events. (The opportunity to supply Land Rover dealers with a Drive Around the World vehicle graphics kit is under discussion, which only extends the value to vehicle graphic sponsors.) Official LONGITUDE Tire Sponsor (OPEN – 30 Tires!) The 1999 LATITUDE expedition did not have one flat tire! Quite a statement when you consider the terrain and distance covered. This time, the distance is twice as long and the journey runs from North to South—the opportunity presents itself once more for a leading tire company. No better testimonial exists than an around-the-world expedition for a tire sponsor. Plus, when you add in the Tire Cover sponsorship below, you own the space for the LONGITUDE expedition!

Vehicle Graphic Sponsorships (All sponsors are entitled to the graphic locations they select, representation on the www.drivearoundtheworld.com website sponsorship page, plus all media materials for expedition interviews and North America promotional events. Digital media taken during the expedition and events will be provided to sponsors as part of the content library, a timeless supply of global images.)

• Front Hood and Front Quarter Panel Graphics (SOLD) — Land Rover is working with a design agency to place the LONGITUDE global map on the vehicle hood and to extend the design down to the front quarter panels. The graphics will flow across the entire vehicle to bring all elements and corporate logos together in a cohesive design.

• Driver & Passenger Door Graphics (SOLD) — Drive Around the World will

have its organization logo and “LONGITUDE Expedition” title on the front doors of the vehicle. This location defines the purpose of the vehicle and sets the mind towards adventure, exploration, and crossing boundaries.

Combined with the hood graphics of the LONGITUDE global map and you have the foundation of the design elements.

• Rear Quarter Window Graphics (Location 1 - OPEN - $50,000) — A

premier location on the Discovery vehicle, the rear quarter windows are raised, framed by the body, and provide a dark tinted-glass background for a corporate logo to make its appearance. The windows are fixed as they do not open, plus the location avoids direct sunlight and debris from the road…remember that your logo is going around the world!

• Rear Door Graphics (Location 2 - OPEN - $40,000) — A popular location

as all eyes will go from the driver or passenger side front doors to the next graphic element on the rear doors. The location fits rectangular or square logos, provides a close bonding with the Drive Around the World logo on the neighboring door, and will not be missed.

• Alpine Window Graphics (Location 3 - OPEN - $30,000) — Set apart and

located high above the rest is an area undivided and unique from the rest. This sponsorship provides visibility from both sides of the vehicle and—given the intensity and simplicity of your corporate logo—it will stand out as one of three corporate sponsors on the side of each vehicle.

• Front & Rear Window Graphics (Location 4 - OPEN - $30,000) — Great

for a sponsor with a message, slogan, or URL to promote in this long rectangular space on the top of the front windshield and rear window. Both locations are dark tinted to make your logo or statement stand out. They will see you coming and going, a sure-bet location for media coverage at any angle.

• Tire Cover Graphic & Lower Front Quarter Panels (Location 5 - OPEN -

$30,000) — All Land Rover Discovery vehicles have a distinctive spare tire mounted on the rear swinging door, a design element used on many SUVs to signify overland adventure. For Land Rover, it has been a premier branding location often embellished with a Rhino, Leopard, Elephant, or Giraffe. This large round surface is a perfect shape for many corporate logos and it provides a unique opportunity. Combined with logo positions on the lower front quarter panels, your logo will not be missed.

Online Sponsorships Every media story from print, radio or TV will reference the Web site to learn more details, plus every friend who tells another friend will phone, email, or show them the Web site. The LONGITUDE expedition provides a great media property and today’s online world clicks quickly to see the details. The Internet is now part of our culture and is expanding its reach every day. Corporate sponsors can associate their brand with the values of the LONGITUDE expedition via these online sponsorships.

• Web Site Home Page Sponsor (OPEN - $50,000) — The premier online location for Drive Around the World and the LONGITUDE expedition for fifteen months beginning in September 2003 and ending in November 2004. Maximize the value of this sponsorship with a link to your Web site, a special offer, or seasonal promotions. Not only will every visitor see your logo, tag line, and premier sponsorship of the LONGITUDE expedition, they can link to your site to continue their online journey.

• “LONGITUDE Life” Monthly Newsletter Sponsor (OPEN - $12,000) —

LONGITUDE Life is a monthly newsletter for one year about the “experiences” of one of mankind’s greatest overland adventures. Anyone interested in the LONGITUDE expedition can subscribe to LONGITUDE Life from the Drive Around the World Web site and supporting content portals, to live vicariously through the experiences of the team. Newsletter sections will cover monthly events, expedition progress, research site overviews, advice for people wanting to visit the areas traveled, with your logo, tag line, URL link and sponsorship message on the top! The journals of the 1999 LATITUDE expedition are being reviewed every day; this is a sponsorship that will last for years!

• “Lines of LONGITUDE” Learning Newsletter Sponsor (OPEN -

$12,000) — A very successful program from the 1999 LATITUDE expedition is the Learning program for students ages 6-13 interested in geography, distant lands and cultures, science and exploration, plus how other kids live everyday. The Lines of LONGITUDE monthly newsletter covers one year and is developed by the LONGITUDE learning coordinators—one traveling on the expedition and the other working with the domestic support team. Targeting schools, GATE students, teacher conferences, private programs, and home schools, it provides a unique sponsorship opportunity.

“Make a Difference” Gift Sponsorships In 1999, the LATITUDE team quickly found that their everyday materials were highly sought after by children and their families. Team members saw a global need for pencils, pens, and other materials. As one crosses the globe the bare essentials for learning are often not available in many countries. Basic tools are hardly ever seen or utilized as well. They witnessed children walking home in the dark on busy streets without reflective patches or small lights. A promise made by the team for LONGITUDE is to fulfill these requests with items in the sponsorships below… because they will make a difference.

• LONGITUDE Writing Instrument Sponsor (OPEN - $7,500 with gift, or $10,000 and Drive Around the World will obtain the gift item) — Two ways to contribute with this sponsorship and the others below, all items will include your logo and tagline (or message). Sponsorship includes representation on the Drive Around the World website sponsorship page, content media of people receiving the gifts along the expedition, plus representation at all media events for your generosity. The writing instrument is your choice, or we can handle the logistics for you.

• LONGITUDE Key Fob LED Flashlight Sponsor (OPEN - $7,500 with

gift, or $10,000 and Drive Around the World will obtain the gift item) — An exciting gift for any child or person in an area with very little outside influence, it provides a ray of light, hope, fun, and imagination for months on end. With today’s technology, these key fob LED lights are compact, bright, colorful, and transport well until their final destination. Perhaps you have specific places along the expedition route you would like them distributed; just let us know the details.

• LONGITUDE Screw Driver Sponsor (OPEN - $7,500 with gift, or

$10,000 and Drive Around the World will obtain the gift item) — Thinking back, some of these little reversible screwdrivers have been with team members for years; we expect the same for recipients along the expedition route! Tools last for years, and so does your logo and tagline on these popular pocket-sized screwdrivers. All part of the restore, recycle and reuse philosophy, these gifts have a lasting impact with the owner. Your choice on the color and options; or we can handle the logistics for you.

• LONGITUDE Reflective Bracelet Sponsor (OPEN - $7,500 with gift, or

$10,000 and Drive Around the World will obtain the gift item) — An entirely new idea based on our 1999 experiences to help protect children making their way early in the morning before sunrise or late at night after sunset. Gifts that can truly make a difference to help a driver quickly identify a pedestrian on a roadside or busy street. Combined with your logo, tagline (or message), plus Web site and event representation on Drive Around the World marketing properties, you have something special to consider.

Media Sponsorships New with LONGITUDE is the opportunity to share the experience. Involvement is a very powerful way for outsiders to become part of the team and feel the excitement and challenges of a global expedition. After all, life is all about what we experience. These new sponsorships allow the core team to interact with expedition visitors in person or online, a dynamic element that consistently rotates throughout LONGITUDE.

• “Take Me With You” Sponsor (OPEN - $60,000 for 30 spots) — The name says it all for this sponsorship, as it provides a great opportunity for the sponsor, and up to thirty of their choosing, to ride along for part of the LONGITUDE expedition. One Land Rover Discovery is being dedicated as the “Take Me With You” vehicle with two seats open for 15 designated legs of the expedition. This creates thirty spots for third-party visitors. The sponsor will manage who gets selected to ride along! A detailed route map has been created with 15 logical legs using large cities as start- and end-points for the arrival and departure of expedition guests. (A dedicated vehicle means the team keeps the Discovery leather seats in prime condition and the interior Spartan clean! Guests will have all meals, accommodations, and travel expenses provided once they arrive and throughout their visit, which spans two weeks in length.) The opportunity of a lifetime for a few lucky folks with the desire, drive, and heart to participate in an overland milestone – an experience to remember forever.

• Official Media Sponsor (OPEN - $20,000) — Bring the adventure, energy,

global awareness and tenacity of LONGITUDE to your audience. This sponsorship targets media properties willing to invest in exchange for the exclusivity of being the only media sponsor ride along. The 11-person team has two open seats for a media sponsor to film and record all aspects of the adventure. Combine this sponsorship with a vehicle graphic sponsorship and you own the media position for LONGITUDE.
