What is droidcon?

droidcon is a global developer conference series and a network focusing on the best of Android.

The first two droidcon conferences were organised in Berlin and London in 2009. Since then this community driven conference format has spread around the globe with more than twenty locations. Topics include various parts of the Android ecosystem, such as mobile, TV, car, gaming and much more.

And now droidcon is going to take place in Vienna for the third time in Austria, on 19 and 20 September 2019.

droidcon Vienna will feature more than 20 sessions in three parallel tracks, over twelve hours of high quality content in addition to three hours of barcamp.

A program committee comprised of members of the local Android developer community is reviewing the talk proposals to ensure the quality of the accepted sessions for the conference.

Speakers will be a mixture of internationally renowned speakers and developer experts from the region.

Venue

At Technikum Vienna (University for Applied Science) three rooms are available for talks and sessions.

For the keynote speech and the highlight talks of the first day two rooms will be joined into a big auditorium, allowing a strong community building for the participants.

Sponsors will have ample space at the foyer to present at a table, and banners and posters can additionally be positioned in the areas in front of the rooms.

Participants

Around 200 participants will be attending droidcon Vienna: professional developers, startup founders, hobby programmers and students.

Being highly qualified, the audience is actively shaping the world of Android development in Austria and the region.
