Things you should know...DON'T KILL A GREAT PROGRAM! - Please do not wait until the last minute to register for a program. At

some point prior to the first class, we need to decide if the enrollment is sufficient to hold the class. Signing up on the first day of class might be too late, so do not hesitate! Avoid the chance of losing your favorite class due to low enrollment.

Proof of Residency... It is impossible to always know all of our residents. Please, do not be offended if we ask for ID and proof of residency when you register. It is our goal to give our residents the best service possible.

Photo Release... When you register or attend a Leyden Township program/event, please know that you also consent to the use of any photographs in our publications, social media, slide presentations, etc. We appreciate your enjoyment of our programs and look forward to sharing your excitement and your child's happiness with others!

Misprints... We have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information in this brochure, but we are not responsible for printing errors or omissions. Thank you for your patience and understanding when these problems arise.

Playschool

Our curriculum uses the Wilson Fundations Pre-K Activity Language Program which introduces activities for learning letter-keyword-sound, alphabetical order and number and letter formation skills. Our program emphasizes learning through play-based, developmentally appropriate activities. Our Holiday and Days-Off schedule is based off of local school districts calendars. Our program operates with the ages 3 to 5 year olds. The classroom is designed for exploration and discovery in center based themes like language arts, music, computers, math and art. Chromebooks are incorporated into the daily routine for technology exploration.

Our teachers focus on the whole child as they develop activities for growing minds, cognitive and socialization expriences daily.

Some programs will not allow for a reservation and requires a paid registration

to hold the spot.

REFUND POLICYThe general policy of Leyden Township is to issue refunds of registration fees to anyone who is unable to attend or is dissatisfied with a regularly scheduled program. The person must make a written application stating the reason why a refund is desired. Refunds will be prorated, on a per class basis and NO refunds will be made after the second class is held. A $5.00 administrative charge may be assessed on all refunds. Refunds are not given on certain other programs. Some programs are subject to different refund policies, based on contractual agreements with other companies.

The refund policy for trips will be issued ONLY if a replacement participant can be found. Please note that most trips have a deadline for reservations. We rarely can accommodate additional reservations so you are urged to register early. A $5.00 administrative charge may be assessed.

Refunds can only be issued to the person registered for the program. Refunds in excess of $10.00 will be issued within 45 days. Refunds of $10.00 or less will be issued a credit towards any other Leyden Township Recreation Department program.

All Leyden Township issued memberships are non-refundable and non transferable to a secondary person.

CREDIT POLICY It is the general policy of Leyden Township

to issue a credit to anyone who requests a credit in place of a refund. The credit is good for one year from the date of issue.

The date of issue is the date that the person requests the credit. If the receipient of the credit does not use the credit within one year, it will be forfeited. A credit has no

monetary value. Therefore, once a credit has been issued it can not be exchanged for

a refund.

If a recipient of a credit uses the credit to sign up for a program and does not attend or call before the first scheduled class, he or she will forfeit their credit amount for that

program.

scheduling for programs is based on the number of registrants. Early registration also ensures that your program will not be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or that additional classes be added to meet your needs.

SENIOR CITIZENS

Leyden Township residents who are 55

years old, or better, are welcome to participate in certain senior programs offered by the township

at no change.

FEE INFORMATION

All are welcome to participate in Leyden Township activities. Persons residing within Leyden

Township are, in most cases, charged a lesser in-district fee. However, to ensure the success

of our programs, out-of-district persons may participate at a slightly higher out-of-district

rate. Some programs, trips and tournaments are offered at no additonal out-of-district fee.

RETURN CHECK POLICY

There is a $25.00 fee on all returned checks.

This fee is in addition to the original amount the

check was made for. This amount is required to be paid in cash beofre the participant is allowed

to register for any other future classes.

Out of District Room: $90/hr.

Westdale Park:Room Capacity - 60 persons

In District Room: $50/hr.
