In order to install our component you should use standard Joomla installer.

Then click on Browse > Install & upload button, component, modules and plugins will be installed activated by default.

It’s not just a component but also editor plugin. Everything is built to be installed/uninstalled by default in one single action.

Theme subcribers, install your theme pack in the same way, with Joomla standard installer.

In order to update Droppics install it over the old version, the same for the theme package.

Be careful to always use the last version of droppics and theme for compatibility reason.

Be careful, uninstalling the component will erase all your galleries!

The main idea of Droppics is to set parameters of image size in the component then manage images and galleries directly from articles or any WYSIWYG editor. Droppics works on every Joomla standard WYSIWYG editor, both for frontend and backend. For example you can use it in a custom Joomla module.

When Droppics is installed you have an editor plugin that is displayed bellow you editor. Click on it to open the main Droppics view.

Click on it to open the image manager.

In order to create a gallery, click on New gallery in the left column

Note: a default gallery is already created on component install

To add image in your gallery you can drag’n drop image in the center part or click on Select files button

Then select one or some images to upload them. The uploader is HTML 5 powered so you can send big images then will be resized an added. You can reorder your images when they are uploaded. Without saving, order is stored directly.

In order to insert the gallery in your article, click on Insert this gallery in the right column.

Gallery will be materialized in your article with a grey area.

Already done, you’ve created your first Droppics gallery!!

The first time you insert your gallery, save your article to see the result on frontend, if you click on the Droppics

gallery image in the article, then on Droppics button, you’ll simply open the same Droppics manager. So if you

change parameters then click again on insert, your gallery will be replaced.

Note: you also have some parameter on your default theme.

The default theme allows you to define:

Border size

Border radius

Border color

Shadow color

Shadow size

Margin left, margin top, margin right, margin bottom

Manage a single image has never been as simple as click on it to define display parameters.

Droppics allows you to define:

Border radius

Margin

Border size

Border color

Shadow size

Shadow color

Alignment

Then simply click on insert this picture to add in in your article.

You also got an option to define image Title and Alt when you hover your mouse on an image.

To access to Droppics parameters, go in Component > Droppics > Options

Options are really simple, you can define:

The jQuery call to avoid conflict, don’t touch if it works ;)

Thumbnail size: the size of all thumbnail inserted, in gallery and for single images

Picture size: the size of the image in the lightbox

The full picture size: the size of the original image sored on the server

Permissions: Joomla ACL to restrict access to Droppics

Note: if you change image you’ll get a notice that explain you that you need to regenerate thumbnails. Please click

on it and apply.
