Gift Wrap Packing Standards Introduction An item is to be gift wrapped if the customer has requested gift wrap; this request will come through on the order sent by Myer to supplier. What Suppliers need
• Ribbon (supplied by Myer)
• White tissue paper
• Myer branded box (supplied by Myer)
• Sharp fabric scissors
• Myer wrapping paper (supplied by Myer)
Step Instructions
1. • Select an appropriate sized box for the gift; if no suitable sized box is available,
please use Myer wrapping paper
• Fold 1-2 pieces of white tissue and line the box with the folded tissue paper
• Carefully place and arrange the gift in the box
• Fold the remaining tissue over the gift neatly to fully cover the gift
• Place the lid on the box
• Wrap the ribbon horizontally
around the gift
• Tie the ribbon in a tight half-
knot
2. • Ensure that the ribbon is tight
around the box and continue
to tie a tight small bow in the
centre front of the box
4. • Select an appropriate event
type slither tag (if applicable)
5. • Thread ‘event type’ slither tag
onto the right hand ribbon tail
with the “message” facing
upward. Ensure that the
slither tag sits close to the

sharp angles to minimise
fraying. Ensure that both
ribbon tails match in length
and angle cut.
• The bow should be small and
tight. The 2 tails should not
exceed 10cm or 100mm in
length. Check that both the
bow and the tag are centred to
the gift.

Dangerous Goods Guidelines Introduction
Dangerous Goods are substances capable of causing harm to people and property because
of their hazardous properties. For example, they may be corrosive, flammable or have other
hazardous properties.
Suppliers, in conjunction with Myer have a responsibility to ensure that for every chemical
within the Myer product range, a current Australia compliant safety data sheet (SDS)
provided and that goods classified as hazardous / dangerous are identified when being
transported.
The Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADGC or ADG7) is issued by The Advisory
Committee on Transport of Dangerous Goods. The document creates a significant level of
standardisation for the transportation of dangerous goods in Australia.
Packages with hazardous contents will need to display the below stickers.
As per the user defined attribute within Retek (UDA), all other products listed as
flammable liquid fall into Class 3, packaging 3 which permits up to 2 litres to be dispatched per
consignment. The below sticker is acceptable for this circumstance.
Packing Slip Below is an example of the Myer packing slip to be issued with all Myer dropship orders.
