Our journey to date has taken 25 years in the field of design, manufacture and installation of water leak detection and environmental monitoring systems.

With the wealth of knowledge gained, J.A.M. can guide you through the design process, manufacture the products and carry out the installation to the exacting timescales of the contracting process and program. We +Arill also support the product and Client with after sales service and preventative maintenance contracts for years to come.

J.A.M. Limited have also been involved with the design, supply, installation & commissioning of electric trace heating systems for a number of years, and have supplied equipment to a vast array of end users and Clients. Although originally taken on board as a supplementary product to our range of environmental monitoring systems, we rapidly gained the reputation of a professional, reliable and cost-effective supplier of trace heating in its own right.

We feel the products within this brochure offer the most cost-effective solutions to current building services requirements and would encourage you to visit our website: www.jam.uk.corn to see our systems in action.

I have taken the step of releasing my personal e-mail address for anyone to contact me with comments or suggestions.

System Introduction

aTILalarin

These produce are our latest Zoned range of systems using art addressable method for irrstaliation. Each system will be easier to install with less interconnecting cable used. The control panels can simultaneously monitor our water, oil, refrigerant gas, temperature and humidity detectors The control panels are available as an i-Zone 5, capable of monitoring up to 5 detectors, or as an i-Zone 10/25 capable of monitoring between 10 and 25 detectors. Multiple i-Zane systems tan be networked together. monitored by an 'Aqualarm' One-Touch system master control panel.

LeakAense2i rem, rem LC.101.19r1U.71

A stand alone system capable of monitoring up to 1500rn of cable and able to display the meterage reading relating to the point of contact that water has made with the detection cable with an accuracy of .1- 1 metre. This system dS0 has the added advantage of displaying a meterage reading of any open circuits caused by damage with the same accuracy.

Now also available as a ZLM-500 zoned locating module. a simplified version to allow a network of these units to monitor multiple areas, all connected back to either a 'master' i-Zone panel which will display the alarm conditions and meterage reading of each ZLM•500, or connected to an 'Aqualarrn' One-Touch system that can also display graphic maps of the alarm locations.

amiare.,1044' This is the most comprehensive system we have produced to date We have designed this system to be netvvorked to multiple 'Aqualarm' control panels as well as being able to function as a stand alone control panel. All system functions are displayed on a 12 inch colour touch screen monitor. Powered by a PC based operating system, using Windowste, protocol, all operating manuals, service information and as installed system maps can be stored for future reference.

This system can monitor all 'Aqu alarm' control panels and the full range of 'Aqual arm dctcctors, to deliver the complete package.

The European IUniona5 F--.a5 Regulation No. 842/2006 became law on 4th July 2006, and many of the requirements came into force on 4th July 2C07.

F-Cases include all HFC refrigerants such as R134A. and mixtures containing F-Gases such as R407C. R410.0, and 11404A.

if you own equipment containing HFC refrigerants in stationary equipment, you now have new legak obligations under the F-.2 as Regulations.

Below are sections of the requirement that relate to leak prevention and detection.

F-iGas Requirement Date of Effect

Row to implement the requirement

Further Information

Operators of equipment must prevent leakage, ensure leak che:ks are carried out and carryout any necessary repairs 45 soon as possible. Proper refrigerant recovery must alSO he in place_

04.01.2007 1) Works to be carried out by qualified personnel {current requirement Is City & Guilds lon or CITD only). 2) Follow a standard leak check procedure Set by the Commission

www.defra.gov.uki corporate/consult/ f-gasiindex.htm

Opefa tors must ensure systems are checked for leaks: 1) At least annually If more than 3kg charge- 2) At I test once every 6 months if over 30kg. If an automatic leak detection system is installed. they only need to check every 12 months, 3) Automatic leak detection systems MUST be installed on applications with 3.00kg or more, and these systems should be checked every 6 months. If a leak is detected and repaired, further check must be carried out on the repair within 1 month to ensure the repair has been effective.

04.07.2007 11 Personnel Qualified to the levels set out by the Commission can only carry out the checks. 2) install a n automatic leak detection system that meets the requirement set by the Commission {see definition below)

The 'Aqualarm One Touch' Central Processing Unit shall be wall or floor mounted and be of a mild steel construction, painted and powder coated.

The CPU-1000 combines the latest addressable CAN BUS technology for monitoring and displaying information of alarms I alarm conditions within the running protocol of a Windows 0 program. It will be capable of monitoring up to 25 detectors from the full 'Agu alarm' range including water, refrigerant gas, fuel oils, temperature and humidity as well as up to 25 i-Zone Control Panels or APM-25 Area Power Modules resulting in a combined monitoring power of up to 65C detectors.

The CPU-1000 can also monitor up lo 23 LS-2i LeakSense Control Panels or ZLM-300 Zone Locating Modules, to create a fully comprehensive Locating System.

When alarm conditions are raised, they will be displayed On the TSM-1 Touch Screen Monitor, with the use of detailed layout maps for the area(s) being protected. Alarm history is stared an the unit's own internal hard disk drive for future perusal.

Operating Instructions, Commissioning, Maintenance and Service logs are all stored electronically on the system for ease of retrieval and use.

The system is supplied with 5 volt free outputs, and a R5-485 output to relay alarm conditions to other controls such as Building Management Systems.

As the CPLI-1000 is essentially a PC based product we strongly recommend the power supply is either connected directly to the building UPS system or an after market proprietry unit which is purchased to support the system should the mains be interrupted or tail.

mciLralarrn Universal Detectors

JAM offer a range of detectors that can be linked directly onto other control systems, i.e. BMS systems, AC controls or any control system that can provide a 24v power supply {ac or tic) and receive a volt free signal in the condition of alarm, which we categorise under 'Universal Detectors'.

The Universal Detectors do not require an "Aqua!arm' control panel to monitor them.

All the detectors that are shown within this product guide are available in this format. The alarm volt free signal can be raised in either a Normally Open {h1.0.} or Normally Closed (N.C.) condition.
