INDUSTRIAL OVENSA heating oven/room can be designed and manufactured to meet your exact size and speci�cations.Several drums can be heated at the same time and kept thermostatically controlled between 30°C - 110°C, 24 hours a day. Many materials require extended heating times for complete and propermeltdown; such as honey, malt extract, waxes and various pharmaceutical products. This can only be achieved e�ciently in heated drum ovens or rooms.

BASE DRUM HEATERS

HEATED DRUM TROLLEY

Base Drum Heaters are ideal for use in applications where thedrum requires heating before it is moved onto the nextproduction stage. Temperature controlled, low watt densityheating elements are clamped between two heavy dutymetal plates. A leg height of 100mm, robust steel constructionwith high temperature painted �nish, 2.5m x 3 core �exiblelead and 10 Amp plug-top are standard features of the singlephase units. This type of heater is best suited for closed drumsituations.

Complete stainless steel units are alsoavailable and are highly recommendedfor use in corrosive or hazardousapplications.

Maximum temperatures achieved are approximately 65°C - 80°C for the single phase units and 250°C - 300°C for thethree phase units.

A multitude of voltages, wattages, diameters, temperaturecontrols and programmable timers are available upon request.

Suitable for applications where the 205 litre (44 gallon) drum is required to be mobile with its contents heated.With its heavy duty construction the heated drum trolley is designed for loading, moving and unloading full drumswith ease. As the drum is strapped down in the horizontal position,the contents can be easily transferred into smaller containers whilethe underside of the drum is still being heated by fully guarded lowwatt density multiform heating elements.

The heated drum trolley is for materials such as bitumen,tallow, waxes, fat, grease, resin, syrups, honey, etc. whereheat is required to create �ow. Temperature control isachieved with the use of an energy regulator (simmerstat).

The standard Thermal heated drum trolley is rated at240V 2400W and is connected via a standard 10 Amp extension lead. A range of temperature controllers, programmable timers and power ratings are available.

205L DRUM HEATER JACKETSThermal Electric Drum Heater Jackets are specially designed products using the latest advance in electricheating element development. Now, simply, inexpensively and with safety, you can heat 205 litre drumsof your sensitive and valuable product without the expense of building a hot room - our thermallyinsulated �exible heater canopy simply zips-up to form a miniature hot room around your drum.

Operation of a Thermal drum heater uses only 500 watts of electrical power. That’s about 50c to heat a205 litre drum of typical product over twelve hours (based on average commercial electricity rates)compared to alternatives that can cost nearly 3 times more, our drum heater will save you money andenergy. The unique carbon-�lm electric heating elements featured on ‘Beyond 2000’ have been selected toensure the integrity of your product is preserved throughout the heating process. Heat is spread evenlyover a wide surface area - about one square metre - eliminating ‘hot spots’ and ensuring even distribution.

Because the heating elements don’t contain metal wires or resistors they won’t deteriorate with repeateduse. Being made from carbon/glass �bre they can actually be cut, torn or punctured without appreciableloss of performance. In this unique product where they are protected from damage, with ordinary use, youcan expect them to last inde�nitely - no more element replacements!

IBC HEATER JACKETSThe IBC Heater Jacket is designed to provide a convenient insulation/heating system for raising thetemperature of liquid products transported in the IBC.

The Heater Jacket consists of four �exible side panels and one lid panel. Inside each side panel is apolyester thermal insulation blanket, insulated electric carbon-graphite heating elements, controlthermostats and thermal over-temperature cut-o� fuses mounted on an aluminium earth sheet, wiringand a �exible power cord with a 3-pin earthed plug. Heater Jackets are available for all standard size IBCunits. Custom sized Jackets can also be supplied.

Each panel is �tted with heavy duty zip fasteners that make it easy to install on the IBC. The installationforms a stand alone miniature ‘hot room’ suitable for heating in low ambient temperatures.An e�cient insulation material is used inside the panel, minimising energy loss from the heated IBC andmost liquid products are able to be raised in temperature within acceptable times.

DRUM IMMERSION HEATERS

Drum immersion heaters are more e�cient andeconomical than external heating and are used wherethe solution, liquid or material can be heated with theelement being in direct contact. Two installationdesigns are available. The �rst is able to be insertedthrough the pouring hole at the top and the other �tsstraight into an open drum.

Thermal drum immersion heaters are light weight andvery portable. They can be used in a variety of tank andbath applications.

All Thermal drum immersionheaters are thermostatically controlledand are manufactured in a wide range of materialssuch as Incoloy, 316SS and Titanium. 2.5m x 3 core�exible lead and 10 Amp plug-top are standard withthe single phase units.

Thermal also manufacture three phase units withgreater power output, which greatly reduces initialheat up time and maximises heat recovery.

Stainless steel Clamp On heaters are ideal for applicationswhere short heat up times and high temperatures need to beachieved. A low watt density multiform heating element isdesigned to wrap around the outside of the drum, held on bya stainless steel band with quick release toggle fasteners.Clamp On heaters are light weight, portable and can bemoved from drum to drum with ease. If more heat is required,extra clamp on heaters can easily be �tted. Three phaseheaters are also manufactured by Thermal with greater poweroutput and are available upon request.

The Clamp On heater is ideal for applications where thematerial or solution to heat cannot come into direct contactwith the heating element. This makes them best suited forclosed drum situations, eg. solvents. Standard Clamp On heater units are manufactured with Incoloy sheathed heating elements, 110mm wide and Simmerstat controlled. 2.5m x 3 core �exible lead and 10 Amp plug-top are standard for single phase units.

LOW WATT DENSITY DRUM HEATERS

EMERGENCY DRUM HEATERS

Low watt density heaters are suitable for mild alkali solutions, detergent, caustic soda, soluble oils,emulsions, engine oils, general lubricants, mild acid solutions, hydraulic and turbine oils, waxes, heattransfer oils, vegetable oils and tallow.The low watt density of the heater ensures that the sensitive product being heated is not burned by thesurface temperature of the heater. Thermal low watt density drum heaters come in single or 3 phase units.2.5m x 3 core �exible lead and 10 Amp plug-top are standard with single phase units. A multitude of voltages, wattages, temperature controllers, programmable timers, lower watt densitiesand element protective coatings suitable for speci�c solutions are available upon request.

A very portable, general purpose, high watt densityheater. Suitable for emergency heating and mustonly be used in clean water situations.

The standard emergency drum heateris manufactured with an Incoloy sheathand has a stainless steel adjustablesupporting hook. The heater is �ttedwith a 2.5 metre 3 core �ex and 10 Amp plug-top.

We strongly advise when using thisheater that it is used with an earth leakagesafety system.
