Dry design and installation: the best way to achieve the perfect result
DryMode changes the current frame conditions for stone covering works and enables an up to 50 % faster and dust-free laying of the tiles with its new technology. Further advantages are an automatic alignment of the joint pattern as well as a continuous and effective decoupling from the substrate – without using any primer and adhesive!DryMode is especially developed for optimizing the installation of ceramic floors. For this purpose, a decoupling layer made of cork is connected to a ceramic tile of every size in order to create a precisely processed dry tile which can immediately be installed without further preparation on a level substrate, ideally on FLOOR and more® hollow floors.

For architects & designersSecure planning with design freedomWith DryMode, floor covering works are consider-ably easier to plan in terms of result and process. The surface is already loadable one day after the dry installation of the tiles.
Dry installation of large format tilesThe DryMode technology is the perfect method to install large format floor tiles on a level substrate such as FLOOR and more®. Neither a particular preparation of the ground nor further priming are necessary for its installation. In addition, there is no need of additional decoupling mats.
For craftsmenErgonomic and dust-free workingThe DryMode installation technology with its prefa-bricated tiles automatically forms an accurate 3 mm wide joint pattern thanks to the surrounding cork edge. Therefore, the installation can be carried out a lot more ergonomically and faster without producing dust and humidity.
No use of primer and adhesiveDryMode does not need any adhesive and primer in order to achieve a step-safe result. The tiles are only
grouted.
For owners & tenantsSignificant reduction of the construction timeDryMode is a dry installation system shortening the laying time by up to 50 % compared with the conventional floor tile installation method.
Covering completely removableThe tiles can be removed quickly and easily, free of residues and with little dust formation in situations of relocation, change of tenants or change of use - without damaging the substrate.
Easy replacement of tilesOnce a single tile has been damaged it can be replaced within minutes without any drying time. Simply expose and remove the damaged tile, install a new tile and grout it.
Advantages

LevelnessThe floor system FLOOR and more® offers the best conditions for DryMode as it is installed exactly on height on its adjustable steel pedestals.
Determination of the joint gridEvery usual joint grid is possible with the DryMode installation technology. A system joint with a width of 3 mm is automatically formed by tightly joining together the cork edges.

Grouting of the tilesThe installed DryMode tiles are grouted with a cement-based grouting compound. The surface is accessible after 12 to 24 hours (final hardness after four to five days).
Applicable everywhereOffice and administration buildings, store and exhibition stand construction, museums, exhibition rooms, schools, kindergartens, retirement homes, hotels, atria and shopping malls.

Overview of technical characteristics of DryMode- Acoustic and constructive decoupling from the substrate (impact sound improvement of 13 to 18 dB)- Walking-elastic bedding of the tiles with the patented decoupling backing- Emission and dust-free installation in favor of a clean ambient air- Ergonomic and low-risk installation of large format tiles- Removable at any time in case of a change in use or a subsequent installation
