D.THOMAS MARINE is a Technical Consultancy Company , established in Piraeus

Greece in 1989, offering since then its services to the Shipping World with success ,

acquiring the recognition of its clients.

and offering lower prices during their ship repair operations in the Far East .

We may also offer our CONSULTANCY SERVICES to Owners

and undertake the full project from the initial specification

process, until vessel’s final delivery to Owners.

a) Our services start from the initial negotiation stages between

ship Owners and the Yard.

We are capable to supply information about yard reputation,

history, financial status, key persons,

technical evaluation of the spec supplied and comparison with

other proposals, and we may assist

Owner’s to achieve the best possible contract prices and terms.

b) In case Owners wish to modify existing yard’s design, we

may prepare an alternative, discuss with the yard about the

cost, and arrange for timely approval by the relevant

Classification society.

c) We may also assist Owners during the construction stage , with

our experienced site team, to supervise the New building

Process from start to finish, including sea trials and

final delivery stage.

For all Yards above we are in direct contact with Shipyard Owners (private Yards) , or Senior Management (public Yards) , thus offering immediate attention to your fleet’s requirements. (Dock space ,D.D. availability etc.) This also ensures lowest possible prices for your vessels’ specifications , which you are kindly invited to test . Our office in Shanghai continuously monitors market conditions , ensuring the most suitable proposal for Yard selection according to vessels’ requirements . We also ensure immediate attention to your requests , and smooth co ordination between Owner and Yard representatives throughout the project. During all ship repair works we offer our Clients Greek Supervisor’s attendance (once requested / charging only his living expenses) to assist your representatives on site.

ULTRASONIC GAUGING INSPECTIONS

The Company is approved by all major Classification Societies for performing UTM

Surveys worldwide, either afloat or during repairs , for owner’s account or for scheduled

Surveys.

All Level II operators are capable to produce the formal UTM reports of Survey to the

attending Surveyor prior to vessel’s departure from the shipyard.

Steel Weight estimations , may also be prepared based on UTM readings taken , during

voyage/loading/unloading operations , to assist owners prepare their budget prior to

shiprepairs.

LOW RATES FOR UTM INSPECTIONS IN CHINA

Due to the presence of permanent Greek staff of our Company in Shanghai/China, we

are in position to offer our Clients low rates for all types of UTM inspections of their

vessels in China.

Specifically, Clients make savings on traveling expenses of UTM Operators from

Greece and back, and also savings on the relevant traveling days involved.

SHIPYARD ATTENDANCE

Our Company’s Technical personnel may assist Owner’s Representatives during

Ship repairs , on Quality Control Supervision , Steel / Piping / Staging / Painting

Verifications and Evaluations, and also Final Invoice negotiations.

PRE PURCHASE/CONDITION SURVEYS

Our experienced Technical experts may perform any type of Ship Survey upon request,

either from our Piraeus or Shanghai office.

of Drawings/Manuals of your vessels , from Hard Copies to Electronic format with the

relevant finder’s index.

This will save you from future photocopying expenses, and will improve productivity in

data handling and transfer.

Considering that ALL vessels’ drawings are divided in three (3) major libraries

i.e. HULL, MACHINERY and ELECTRICAL you may alternatively select
