Introduction
• From 4th to 7th December 2013, the Dubai World Trade Centre will be hosting the eighteenth Edition of the Dubai International Jewellery Week (DIJW), the influential jewellery platform where professionals of a strong and growing market will be gathered to offer business opportunities. The Exhibition will be open to both trade and public.
• In 2013, for the second time in a row, Fiera di Vicenza
will be exporting the style and quality of VICENZAORO brand to the Middle East, thus offering Italian and European companies the possibility to present their collections to leading international buyers with its exhibition concepts: VICENZAORO European Club and T-GOLD International.

Dubai, the perfect hub for the Middle East market
• The Middle East luxury goods market achieved a growth of 15% in 2012, establishing the region as the tenth largest market in the world.
• The UAE is the sixth wealthiest country in the world with a per capita income of USD 47,500.
• Countries in Middle East, led by the United Arab Emirates are major consumers of gold. Dubai is the largest importer and consumer of gold in the Gulf with a custom duty as low as 5%.
• Gold topped the list of Dubai’s imports with AED 25.6 billion (USD 6.9 billion) from January to March 2012, followed by diamonds at AED 13.9 billion (USD 3.7 billion) and jewellery and precious metals at AED 11.7 billion (USD 3.1 billion).
