It is possible to avoid using the 2angle brackets B supplied with theunit and mount it using just thethreaded rods D and the 2 shapedbars E. In both cases isolators can beinstalled between the nuts C and theangle brackets B or shaped bars E, toreduce transmission of vibrations tothe building’s structure.

Warning. Since the condensatetray is sloped to facilitate flow ofcondensates, the unit must bepositioned absolutely level in bothdirections.

Installation on the ground

The unit can be installed on theground, but make sure thecondensate can be drained properly.Ensure it is installed on vibrationisolators and that it is level in bothdirections.

Hydraulic connections

It is easy to remove the electriccabinet to facilitate access to thehydraulic connections. Operatinglimits of pressure must not exceed1.5MPa.

Installation procedure

- Define the layout of the lines sothat they are as short as possible.

- Limit pressure losses in the linescaused by pinching, too manybends and bending radii that aretoo small.

- Connection of water inlet and out-let lines:

The coil is connected by means of3/4” female ISO R7 connectors.

Warning. Limit the tighteningtorque applied to the connectornuts to prevent deformation of thepiping and seals (risk of leaks).

Installation

Ceiling installation

Preparation of the ceiling andinstallation of the unit A template for drilling into the ceilingto fix the threaded rods is printed onthe cover of the unit’s packaging. The angle brackets can also be usedto determine the drilling holedistances. Access must be provided on thewater connection end to facilitateinstallation, maintenance and accessto the cabinet.Four 8 mm diam. threaded rods mustbe securely fixed into the building’sslab or structure. Screw a nut A(Figure 2) sufficiently high onto eachthreaded rod. Put the angle brackets Bin place by holding them using asecond nut C. Make sure the anglebrackets are level in both directionsusing the bottom nuts C. Once theyare perfectly level insert the FWD unitand let the angle brackets support it.Use the top nuts A to tighten the unitagainst the corner brackets.

Electrical connections

If access to the electric cabinet isproblematic, it can be moved amaximum distance of 500 mm.

All wiring and earthing must complywith local standards.

Cautiona) Check the electrical characteristicson the unit’s name plate. Makesure the wiring corresponds to themanufacturer’s electrical diagramand local standards.

b) Power up the units using one ormore lines protected by adisconnect switch and fuses.

c) Earth each unit.d) The wires must not touch therefrigerant lines, the motors orother moving parts.

e) The manufacturer does notassume any liability for problemscaused by modifications to theunit’s internal wiring.

f) Tighten the terminals securely.

Figure 4 : Connection of the condensate drain

Figure 5 : Moving the electric cabinet

Condensate drainage

The unit must be perfectly horizontalin both directions. Connect thecondensate tray outlet (outer diam. 20 mm). To ensure satisfactory condensatedrainage, the drainage tube must besloped 10°. There must not be acondensate trap anywhere on theline. However a siphon can beprovided to prevent outside air beingdrawn in by the indoor unit. If the pipepasses through a room, insulate it toprevent damage caused bycondensation. We recommendpolyethylene foam (6 mm thick).

Condensate pump (accessory)If it is not possible to drain thecondensates by gravity, acondensate pump can be installed asan accessory .

It can lift the condensates amaximum of 500 mm. For installationand connection of the condensatepump, refer to the submittalssupplied with this accessory.
