It’s an exciting week for city employees as two groups of leadership classes have graduated from their courses. The fourth installment of the Emerging Leader Program graduated on Monday. This program is designed to help those who want to become leaders or want to sharpen their leadership skills. Also, the first-ever Inspiring Leader Program completed its classes last week. The 3-month program focuses on learning new competencies and concepts for middle managers and executive teams. Congratulations to them all!

The city is currently seeking the community's ideas and comments on potential actions to improve air quality and reduce our carbon pollution - including encouraging electric vehicles, providing home upgrade incentives and planting more trees.
Here is something that might surprise you: the city could, with help from the community and utilities, reduce greenhouse gas emissions (carbon pollution) community-wide by as much as 25 to 30 percent by the year 2025.
In this dialogue, we would like to hear your thoughts on how to get there! Please give us your input and “Talk Green to Us.”
