DUFFERIN COUNTY CLIMATE CHANGE COLLABORATIVE i s s e e k i n g m e m b e r s ! DUFFERIN COUNTY IS DEVELOPING A COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION PLAN. The plan will include a greenhouse gas emissions inventory, reduction targets, and practical actions to be taken by municipalities, organizations, and community members to achieve the set targets while increasing community resiliency. The Dufferin County Climate Change Collaborative (DC4) is a voluntary group comprised of representatives from various sectors that will provide support to County of Dufferin staff on the development of the Dufferin Climate Action Plan. The DC4 may be consulted on items related to: • Ensuring alignment with community programs and activities. • Providing insights on community culture and behaviour change. • Providing comments on deliverables and outcomes. Please submit a letter of interest (max. 1pg) and/or resume clearly marked “DC4” to: SARA WICKS Climate Change Coordinator climate@dufferincounty.ca dufferincounty.ca/climatechange SUBMISSIONS ARE TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: • Which sector you are looking to represent (please refer to DC4 Terms of Reference for details). • Demonstration of your understanding of climate change mitigation and the mandate of the DC4. • Explain how your experience is relevant to climate change mitigation. • List the strengths you will bring to the DC4. • Commitment to meeting approximately 4 times over the course of the project (estimated completion Spring 2021).
