Principal’s Report ~ Milly Stone Welcome back to Term 3. It was wonderful to see all the children return, looking very rested and happy to be back at school. We are looking forward to a great term of learning. As you are aware there are still many procedures in place that will remain for Term 3. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, parents and carers and the wider community. Parents/carers are still not allowed on site. If for any reason you need to collect your child early we ask that you ring the office from the front gate. The child will then be called to come to the office, be signed out and then the office staff will watch them walk to the front gate. We also ask that this procedure is followed if a child is late in the morning. This prevents parents coming onto the school grounds. The hall is now being used for afternoon/evening activities, but under very strict conditions. If those conditions are not adhered to then that activity will be cancelled. A small number of activities remain on hold and will be reconsidered during Term 3: Kindergarten Orientation School camps Physical distancing is not required for students Physical distancing of children in schools is not required with the latest AHPPC guidelines. Senior Concert Band Day The children were very excited with having a day dedicated to playing music. As the photos show, they had a brilliant time. Thank you Mrs Spall, Mrs Philippou and Ms Stone. See a few photos on page 4. Term 3 Invoice This is now on the school website. Please read the cover sheet carefully for payment instructions. Year 6 do not have an invoice for Term 3. Parking Parents please do not park across driveways. I have had phone calls this week saying people cannot leave their home because parents have parked across their driveways. Please follow road rules at all times. SMS Commencing next Tuesday, parents will be receiving an SMS informing them that their child/children is absent or late for school. Education of children is important and attending school on time and everyday ensures the best learning outcome. Please read page 3 for more information. SMS Notification for absences

Education for your child is important. Our school works in partnership with parents to encourage children attending school.

Regular attendance at school is essential for students to achieve quality life outcomes.

In Term 3 Dural Public School is implementing a SMS service to remind parents to submit an

explanation for absences. By 9:45am if your child is not marked as at school then parents

will receive a text message to notify them of the absence and prompt parents to submit an

absence note using the school app or by emailing the school at dural-

What a fantastic vacation care we had! The cold

mornings and beautiful days led to lots of bike

riding, picnics, games and friendship groups.

Term three is sure to be just as fun at OOSH but a

couple of changes that I should mention.

Our landline has gone and our centre contact is

0477 720 237. Please store this number in your

mobile so that you can always reach us.

We say goodbye to Savvy who was with us these

last few months. Savvy is continuing her studies to

be a Primary school teacher so we wish her well.

Please make sure that you sign your children

‘Absent’ if they are not attending a planned OOSH

day. This helps us to roster correctly and ensures

that we know your child is accounted for.

Here are some highlights of vacation care.
