CCR to be a Non-smoking area. All the connections on the Manifold MUST have all bolts and nuts in place. A minimum of three threads from the bolts should be visible after tightening. All drip trays should be clean, dry & plug in place. Plugs to be put with full thread inside. The drip tray plugs to be operable by hand. Plugs to be fitted with chains/ceasing wire. Diaphragm seal pressure gauges to fitted on either side of manifold in use. All Damaged Diaphragm seal pressure gauges – most often damaged due to clearing with a sharp object, puncturing the diaphragm – to be repaired. Can be repaired on board with SS foils /tin sheets & lub oil filled up. It’s better to fill glycol and must be calibrated after this filling. Sample locker to be neatly stowed. Each And every bottle to be put in the slot. If there is more than one bottle sealed inside a plastic cover then that entire sample bottles to be stowed in such a way to prevent movement. MSDS for the samples to be available in the locker. Acids & alkalis to be stowed separately. Acid samples to be stored in bottom rack or in a separate locker, preferably with a SS bottom plate. Check if any incompatible samples are not stowed together. Sample locker log to be maintained and up to date. STCW Rest Hours log for all officers including Master & crew to be maintained up to date every port. To be maintained in writing & pen. Compare same with bell book and enclosed space entry log, bunker checklist. It should not be that Master was sleeping during arrival or C/E during bunkering.

Both anchor lashings to be removed in port. If terminal requires anchor lashing to be lashed – same to be recorded and brought to the notice of the inspector.

All goose neck vents & other ventilators – packings/rubber gaskets should be free of paint.

Oxygen & Acetylene bottles Storage boxes should be clearly marked “OXYGEN” & “ACETYLENE” and warning sign’s for FLAMMABLE GAS, NO NAKED LIGHT, NO HOT WORK etc. At the oxy acetylene room and in workshop both to be fitted with flash back arrestor.

Framo purging record are available and upto date till arrival

Tanks temperature logs for Heating Cargo – daily temp log to be maintained – and should be able to demonstrate the records to Inspector.

Hose Handling crane – Hook Block swivels to be Free. Frozen NOT ACCEPTABLE.

All tank cleaning material drums STOWED, CLEARLY MARKED & IDENTIFIED. No rusted, damaged or leaking drums. Metal drums to be stowed on wooden gratings – No metal to metal contact.

High level & Overfill alarms to be checked functioning – AUDIO & VISUAL

Deck at Mooring areas should be painted with anti-skid grit

Ganway notice board as per ISGOTT “No naked light No smoking, No Visitor, No Mobile phone/Camera” must be a portable board and not fixed one. It is to be placed at the entrance of gangway

Visitors log should be maintained. Embarkation and disembarkation column of every visitor filled in.

Fire wire should be properly rigged – 1 mtr above water level. The rope should be tied near the splice and not at the end of eye, confirm local regulation and if required keep slack on deck.

Person working greater than 2 mtrs height must wear full body harness. No safety belt is acceptable. People working on gangway or overboard must wear LIFE VEST.
