OCFS Predefined Reports Guide

PowerPlay reports can be accessed through the following steps. For more detailed instructions, refer to Module 3: Using Predefined and Default PowerPlay Reports in the Step-by-Step Guide. 1. Double-click the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop. 2. Click Favorites on the menu bar. 3. Select Data Warehouse Login from the drop-down menu.

♦ If Data Warehouse Login does not exist on the drop-down menu, type http:\OCFSDATAWAREHOUSE in the Address box.

♦ Click Favorites on the menu bar. ♦ Select Add to Favorites from the drop-down menu. ♦ Type “Data Warehouse Login” in the Name box of the Add a Favorite dialog box. ♦ Click OK.

4. Enter your NT User ID, NT Password, and Domain in the OCFS Data Warehouse Login dialog box. 5. Click on the Logon button. 6. Click OK on the Confidential Warning screen. 7. If you’d like to use the path, follow the instructions below, if you’d like to use the folders to access the

reports, skip to Step 8. • Double-click the Cognos PowerPlay icon on the Citrix desktop. • Close the PowerPlay 6.6 Welcome screen • Inside PowerPlay, point to File Open. • In the Choose a Report dialog box, double-click OCFS Datawarehouse. • Double-click the DataWarehouse folder to open it. • Double-click the Pre-defined User Reports folder to open it. • Open one of the folders listed. • Select a report from the listing. • Make sure the Prompt for Cube check box is selected. • Click Open. • Click on the drop-down arrow to the right of the Connections box. • Locate Data Warehouse in the Connections drop-down list.

♦ If Data Warehouse does not appear in the Connections listing, click on the Connections button to the right of the Connect window.

♦ Click Add on the Connections box. ♦ In the Add a Connection dialog, type the following:

Data Warehouse in the Connection window Conncord1 in the Server window

• Select an appropriate cube and open it. • If the Cognos Common Logon box displays, enter your NT User ID and Cognos Password.

8. Select one of the report folders on the Data Warehouse welcome screen and double-click it. 9. Double-click the Pre-defined User Reports folder. 10. Double-click the desired report. 11. If the Cognos Common Logon box displays, enter your NT User ID and Cognos Password. Impromptu reports can be accessed through the following steps. For more detailed instructions, refer to Module 3: Using Predefined Impromptu Reports in the Step-by-Step Guide that accompanies this course. 1. Login to Citrix. 2. If you’d like to use the path to access the reports, follow the steps below, otherwise, skip to step 3.

• Double-click the Impromptu icon on the Citrix desktop. • Inside Impromptu, point to File Open. • In the Open dialog box, navigate to OCFS Datawarehouse\DataWarehouse\Pre-defined User

Reports. • Open one of the folders. • Select the report to open, and click Open. • If the Cognos Common Logon box displays, enter your NT User ID and Cognos Password.

3. Select one of the report folders on the Data Warehouse welcome screen and double-click it. 4. Double-click the Pre-defined User Reports folder. 5. Double-click the desired report. 6. If the Cognos Common Logon box appears, enter your NT User ID and Cognos Password.

The Data in these reports is updated daily. There are two separate folders that house these reports: the Current Vacancy Folder and the Historical Vacancy folder.
