‘Ready to learn, inspired to succeed and prepared for life’

Majithia DAY (SEPTEMBER 9, 2019)

‘Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia Day’ was celebrated on September 9, 2019. A Special

assembly was conducted in school premises to pay tribute to Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia

wherein students presented ‘Shabad ‘ and staff paid a Floral Tribute. The Biography of

Reverend Dyal Singh Majithia ji was recalled through a speech to aware students about

the contribution of Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia for the welfare of society.

ISRO chandrayaan 2 ACTIVITY (SEPTEMBER 13, 2019)

DSPS conducted an activity ‘Mission Chandrayaan 2’ on September 13,2019 for the students of Class Prep I to Class I. Students got knowledge about Mission Chandrayaan 2 through live models and worksheets. The children filled color in Astronaut worksheet and wore Astronaut costume.

CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN ON GANDHI JAYANTI (October 2,2019)

A “Cleanliness Drive” was organized by Dyal Singh Public School on the occasion of

Gandhi Jayanti for the students of classes IX to XII led by the Principal, Mrs. Vinita

Kumar Tomar and Headmistress Mrs. Neelam Vats. All the teachers also

contributed their best to make it a grand event. The main purpose of this drive was

to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings. The Students were shown PPT’s on

Moral Values and Water Conservation.

Various activities were conducted to mark this occasion. A special assembly was

conducted, wherein students delivered speeches in Hindi and English, recited

poems and presented a skit to highlight the principles of Mahatma Gandhi Ji. A

group song was also showcased by the students of class VIII.

The Principal, Headmistress, Teachers and students promoted, “Go-Khadi-the

spirit of India” by wearing Khadi attires. Slogan Writing Competition was organized

to highlight the principles of Gandhi ji. One of these slogans is:

‘Bapu ka Ek hi Sapna

Sawachh ho Desh Apna’.

Students of XI class were taken to the nearby Park for cleanliness drive. They

participated in this program with enthusiasm and fervour. Paper bag making

activity was also conducted to promote the campaign of “Say No to Polythene”

initiated by The Prime Minister of India, Mr.Narendra Modi.

The Principal motivated the students and teachers to follow the principles of

Mahatma Gandhi. This campaign achieved a huge success.

DUSSHERA CELEBRATION (October 8, 2019) On October 8, 2019 ‘Dussehra’ was celebrated in school premises. A special Assembly on

‘Dusshera’ was conducted in which effigies of Ravana and his family were made. Tiny

Tots came in the guise of Lord Ram, Lakshman and other characters of Ramayana to bind

us with cultural heritage and spreading moral values among all. Students performed a

dance skit on ‘Mahishasur Mardini’.

EARTHQUAKE DRILL (October11, 2019)

Earthquake Drill was conducted in the school to make students aware of safe evacuation

at the time of earthquake showing preparedness and presence of mind.

KATHA UTSAV (October18, 2019)

On October 18, 2019 State Level Contest ‘Katha Utsav’ was conducted in our school

premises for classes III to XII . It was organized by Literary club. Students were given

topic on the spot for essay, poem, stories etc. Students participated enthusiastically and

displayed their creative skills . In State Level Katha Utsav Competition, two of our

students have been selected by qualifying District Level.

SANSKARSHALA PROGRAMME BY DAINIK JAGRAN

(OCTOBER,2019) To create feeling of ‘Empathy and Importance of Unity’ among students, a special

assembly on ’Sanskarshala’ was presented by a skit and a street play . The students

presented a speech elaborating ‘Importance of Unity’.

POSTER MAKING Competition UNDER DISTRICT MENTAL HEALTH

PROGRAMME BY HEALTH DEPARTMENT, PANIPAT (OCTOBER11,

2019)

CLASS SHOW - CLASS II (OCTOBER 23 ,24 & 25, 2019)

Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat has organized class show for class II Pearl, Ruby and

Diamond on respective dates 23, 24 and 25 October in which all the students of each

section participated enthusiastically .The students presented dance, skit, poems. Parents

were also invited to encourage the students.

INTER DYAL SINGH GEETA SHLOK RECITATION COMPETITION

(OCTOBER 25, 2019)

In ‘Inter Dyal Singh Shlok Recitation Competition’ held at DSPS, Jagadhari on October 25,

2019, our students grabbed 3rd position.

GRANDPARENTS DAY CELEBRATION (OCTOBER 25, 2019)

DSPS celebrated grandparents day on October 25,2019. The programme began with

students performances followed by the prayer. Prep 1 and 2 students played a

Ramayana skit in front of the grandparents .Grandparents shared some mesmerizing

moments and relived their childhood with the grandchildren. There was an arrangement

of cup of tea with snacks towards the courtesy of grandparents.

Eco Friendly Week

Eco Friendly Week was observed by Eco and Science Club in which various activities were

conducted as :

(1) Rangoli Competition

(2) Candle and Diya Decoration Competition

(3) Toran Making Activity

(4) Wind Chime Making

(5)Pledge on “Say no to Crackers”

(6) A special assembly was also conducted to give away the prizes to the winners of all

the activities conducted during ‘Eco Friendly Week’ which was followed by Mime, Skits,

Speech etc.

Haryana Day and Rashtriya Ekta Divas

(October 31,2019) A special assembly was conducted on October 31, 2019 on the occasion of ‘Haryana Day’ and ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas’ to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Students took the Pledge and presented songs, speech, Haryanvi Bhajan & Folk dance presented by the students of Classes LKG, I-II, 6th-8th. The show was appreciated by all.

Most renowned former Indian Ambassadors Mr. Anil Wadhwa and Mrs.

Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa enlightened the young minds of DYAL SINGH

PUBLIC SCHOOL, Panipat on 12th September, 2019.

This most cherished couple was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Mrs.

Vinita Kumar Tomar and the Headmistress Mrs. Neelam Vats by presenting a

bouquet of flowers. Honorary Secretary of the school management, Mr. D.K.

Raina and Vice Admiral, Mr. Satish Soni, marked their gracious presence on

this occasion.

The school management honoured the guests by presenting a token of love.

Students of classes IX to XII participated in this workshop. First of all the

multifaceted personalities were welcomed by the students of the school by

singing a welcome song.

Mr. Anil Wadhwa who has been a member of the Indian foreign service from

July 1979 till May 2017. In his 37 years career, he has been Ambassador of

India to Italy & San-Marino, Thailand, Oman, Poland and many other

countries.

Mrs. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa wife of Mr. Anil Wadhwa has also been the

Indian Ambassador to Japan, Qatar, Sweden and Lativa.

These unprecedented Ambassadors motivated and guided the students to make

career in Indian Foreign services. They shared their personal experiences and

philosophy of life during the interaction session. The students asked questions

regarding the challenges and procedure to become an ambassador. They also

asked questions regarding language barriers in Indian Foreign Services. The

couple removed the queries of the students and told their Mantras of Success.

In the end, the Principal of the school, Mrs. Vinita Kumar Tomar, thanked the

reverend guests for enlightening the young minds of Dyal Singh Public School

with their insightful an inspiring words.

A State Level Quiz Competition was organized by Canara Bank on 29th

September, 2019 in Kalpna Chawla Medical College Auditorium. Our

school team Lavanya Sachdeva and Krrish Punj got selected in top 10

teams out of 350 teams.

An Online Humanity Olympiad was organized by Satyug Trust Faridabad

in Month of August. Three of our students Lakshay Panchal, Ansh Grewal,

Divya Gupta were selected in top 500 students and were awarded with

medals and certificates. School was also awarded with trophy which was

received by Ms.Manju Gupta from their representative.

Position in Second Inter State Music Group Competition organised by

“BHARAT VIKAS PARISHAD” on 20thOctober,2019.

In ‘Business Studies’ Case Studies Quiz organised by Geeta Group of

Institutions, we bagged 3rd Position held on 12thOctober 2019.

It’s a matter of pride to announce that Shubham Gulati of Class 12thhas

clinched Gold medal in State Level Baseball Tournament (U-19)

organised by SGFI, Haryana.

We grabbed 3rd Position in “Bharat Ko Jaano Quiz” at District Level

wherein 29 teams participated in it.

Haryana Govt. organised Block Level competitions on the topic “Water

Conservation” on 9th September 2019 .The following positions were

bagged by our schools in different competitions-

EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO CHHATBIR ZOO(October 5,2019)

Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat organized an educational trip to Chhatbir Zoo, Chandigarh for

the students of Classes I to III on October 5, 2019 .Besides enjoying the scenic beauty of the zoo,

the students had a great time learning about the various species and their habitats The main

objective for this trip was to promote awareness of endangered animals in the world. It also helps

children understand the importance of taking care of the environment as it has a significant

impact on the lives and welfare of animals.
