Jerebuu Dona
2.1. Location
Dona sub-villages is one of thepotential site for a Micro Hydropower(MHP) implementation. Dona Sub-villages is a part of Naruwolo, Jerebuudistrict, Ngada regency, Nusa TenggaraTimur province. It is locatedgeographically at S 080 54’ 07,69” andE 1210 01,28’ 32,98”. Dona villagenorth border is Were 1 village,Wogowela the southern side, Dariwaliat the western side and Boba villageeastern side.
2.3. Topographic and Geological Condition
The MHP scheme will use water fromWaenanu River. The river located on theSouth of Dona sub-villages. From the MHPscheme (power house location) the rivergoes to the north direction. Topographicconditions along the river are moderateslope, while the soil condition in waterwayis loose. And the materials around the riverare gravel and loose soil. There is aseparate channel (waterway) in the middlepart of head race, and also a split streamon the intake scheme (it is recommendedto make a further measurement here, toadapt this condition).

3. SOCIO – ECONOMIC CONDITION
Village settlements in Naruwolovillage are spread not concentrated.There is an adequate distancebetween every small group from oneto another. Almost the villagers arefarmers. Their main crops are coffee,chocolate, and passion fruit. Theystill cultivate their land in traditionalway, without any modern agricultureknow-how.
According to the agriculture potential inthe area, Dona sub-village is quiteprospective to develop further. There areexisting public facilities such aselementary school, church, public healthcenter, and village government office.There are also community organizationsuch as LKMD, Farmer groups, andreligious groups.
2.2. Accessibility
Dona sub-villages located about 30km to the south east of Bajawa, Ngadaregency, Nusa Tenggara Timurprovince. The location could be reachby four wheel vehicle such Kijang ormotorcycle for about 2 hour fromBajawa, or by a public transportation(buses, rented car) which service routeamong Bajawa and Jerebuu - Naruwolovillage. From Naruwolo, Dona the MHPscheme location (power house) couldbe reached by walk in ± 10 minutes. (see Table 1.)

The villages around MHP scheme hasnot been electrified and will not getelectricity from PLN grid, at least in therecent PLN plan. The nearest PLNelectricity grid is about 21 km. Existingmain energy sources for villagers thereare kerosene, and oil for lighting. The village around MHP schemeeconomically has many potential,especially in agriculture, horticulture,and forestry sectors. However, relatedproduction facilities are still insufficient,there are some possibilities such as;vanilla, cocoa, clove, and coffeegrinding.
MHP development is expected givingvaluable support to increasecommunity economics quality apartfrom lighting need.
The numbers of household thatwill electrify by MHP scheme atNaruwolo village are ±172household. Based on empiric data ofelectrification project using MHP, theestimate electricity need or electricalpower need assumption is about 125watt per house. Including theelectricity need to several publicfacilities, than total MHP Capacityexpected for Naruwolo villages isabout 22,95 kW.

5. HYDRO – POWER POTENTIAL
According to topographicmeasurement ,water from Waenanuriver will be flow through intake than toheadrace which the length is about 400m . For this MHP scheme, measuredgross head is about 42 m and estimatepenstock length is abouth 98 m. Detailpenstock profile is shown. Estimate minimum power electricityneed in Naruwolo village and it issurrounding is about 22.95 kW. Tofulfill this requirement, the future MHPdischarge have to be about 108 l/swith the estimate net head 40 m, withthis calculation the MHP scheme couldgenerate electricity power about 28.18kW and still have reserved powerabout 5.23 kW (see detail calculationat Table 4.).
Waenanu River is ± 180 liter/second.Recorded discharge data or annualdischarge are not available anddischarge measurement done not inthe driest month,therefore maximumdischarge in the dry season estimateabout 108 l/s. However, design discharge has to bedetermined in detail and moreaccurate, considering all factor, andcatchment area when a furtherfeasibility study for this MHP done. 6. TRANSMISSION LINE The village settlement surroundingthe MHP scheme is spread and insmall group which have significantdistance from each other. Maintransmission line to house sub-villages, as shown in Table 2, isabout 5 km length.

2.1. Location
Mamba sub-villages is one of thepotential site for a Micro Hydropower(MHP) implementation. Mamba Sub-villages is a part of Wangkar Weli,Pocoranaka district, Manggarairegency, Nusa Tenggara Timurprovince. It is located geographically atS 080 33’ 16” and E 1200 38’ 39”.Wangkar Weli village north border isRengkam village, Rendenao district atthe southern side, Tango Molas districtat the western side and Ngkiong Doravillage at the eastern side.
2.3. Topographic and Geological Condition
The MHP scheme will use water from WaeNunung River. The river located on theSouth of Mamba sub-villages. From theMHP scheme (power house location) theriver goes to the north direction.Topographic conditions along the river aremoderate slope, while the soil condition inwaterway is loose. 5. HYDRO – POWER POTENTIAL

Estimate minimum power electricityneed in Wangkar Weli village and it issurrounding is about 59,08 kW. Tofulfill this requirement, the future MHPdischarge have to be about 210 l/swith the estimate net head 70 m, withthis calculation the MHP scheme couldgenerate electricity power about95,9 kW and still have reserved powerabout 36,82 kW (see detail calculation

Popo village northborder is Lia village, Gulung village atthe southern side, Lia village at thewestern side and Pongkor village at theeastern side.

Rotok Sub-villages is a part of Hililintir, Satarmesedistrict, Manggarai regency, NusaTenggara Timur province. It is locatedgeographically at S 080 46’ 33” and E1200 22’ 09”. Hililintir village northborder is Forest, Sawu Sea at thesouthern side, Terong district at thewestern side and Golorompong villageat the eastern side.

5. HYDRO – POWER POTENTIAL
According to topographicmeasurement , water from Wae MauRiver will be flow through intake thanto headrace which the length is about96 m. For this MHP scheme, measuredgross head is about 30 m and estimatepenstock length is about 90 m. Detailpenstock profile is shown . Estimate minimum power electricityneed in Hililintir village and it issurrounding is about 64,08 kW. Tofulfill this requirement, the future MHPdischarge have to be about 163 l/swith the estimate net head 28 m, withthis calculation the MHP scheme couldgenerate electricity power about 69,35kW and still have reserved powerabout 5.27 kW (see detail calculationat Table 4.).
Actual discharge measured of WaeMau River is ± 272 liter/second.Recorded discharge data or annualdischarge are not available anddischarge measurement done not inthe driest month, therefore maximumdischarge in the dry season estimateabout 163 l/s. However, design discharge has to bedetermined in detail and moreaccurate, considering all factor, andcatchments area when a furtherfeasibility study for this MHP done. 6. TRANSMISSION LINE The village settlement surroundingthe MHP scheme is spread and insmall group which have significantdistance from each other. Maintransmission line to house sub-villages, as shown in Table 2, isabout 7 km length.

2.2. Accessibility
Golo Ndaring villages located about133 km to Ruteng, ManggaraiRegency, East Nusa TenggaraProvince. The location could be reachby four wheel vehicle such Kijang ormotorcycle for about 2 hour fromRuteng, or by a public transportation(bus, rented car) which service routeamong Ruteng and Sano Nggoang -Golo Ndaring village. From GoloNdaring, the MHP scheme location(power house) could be reached bywalk in ± 20 minutes. (see Table 1.)

2.1. Location A Golo Ndaring village is one of thepotential sites for a Micro Hydropower(MHP) implementation. A Golo Ndaringvillage is a part of Sano NggoangDistrict, Ende Regency, and East NusaTenggara Province. It is locatedgeographically at S 080 42’ 25” and E1200 04 18”. Golo Ndaring village northborder is Waelolong village, SanoNggoang village at the southern side,Mbeliling forest at the western side andGolo Mbu village at the eastern side.
2.3. Topographic and Geological Condition
The MHP scheme will use water from WaeRacang River. From the MHP scheme(power house location) the river goes tothe east direction. Topographic conditionsalong the river are moderate slope, whilethe soil condition in waterway is loose. Andthe materials around the river are graveland loose soil. There is a separate channel(waterway) in the middle part of headrace, and also a split stream on the intakescheme (it is recommended to make afurther measurement here, to adapt thiscondition).

The villages around MHP scheme hasnot been electrified and will not getelectricity from PLN grid, at least in therecent PLN plan. The nearest PLNelectricity grid is about 15 km. Existingmain energy sources for villagers thereare kerosene, and oil for lighting. The village around MHP schemeeconomically has many potential,especially in agriculture, horticulture,and forestry sectors. However, relatedproduction facilities are still insufficient,there are some possibilities such as;sawmill, rice mill, and coffee grinding.MHP development is expected givingvaluable support to increasecommunity economics quality apartfrom lighting need.
The numbers of household that willelectrify by MHP scheme at GoloNdaring village are ± 223 household.Based on empiric data ofelectrification project using MHP, theestimate electricity need or electricalpower need assumption is about150 watts per house. Including theelectricity need to several publicfacilities, than total MHP Capacityexpected for Golo Ndaring villages isabout 35,55 kW (see detailcalculation at Table 3).

Village settlements in Golo Ndaringvillage are a half in concentrated anda half is spread. There is anadequate distance between everysmall group from one to another.Almost the villagers are farmers.Their main crops are coffee,candlewood, chocolate and rice plant.They still cultivate their land intraditional way, without any modernagriculture know-how.
According to the agriculture potential inthe area, Golo Ndaring village is quiteprospective to develop further. There areexisting public facilities such asElementary School, Junior High School,Church, public health center, and villagegovernment office. There are alsocommunity organization such as LKMD,Farmer groups, and religious groups.

Tofulfill this requirement, the future MHPdischarge have to be about 150 l/swith the estimate net head 48 m, withthis calculation the MHP scheme couldgenerate electricity power about38,58 kW and still have reserved powerabout 3,03 kW. 6. TRANSMISSION LINE The village settlement surrounding theMHP scheme is spread and in smallgroup which have significant distancefrom each other. Main transmission lineto house sub-villages is about 1500 mlength.
Wae Racang River is ± 250liter/second. Recorded discharge dataor annual discharge are not availableand discharge measurement donenot in the driest month, thereforemaximum discharge in the dryseason estimate about 150 l/s. However, design discharge has to bedetermined in detail and moreaccurate, considering all factor, andcatchment’s area when a furtherfeasibility study for this MHP done.
