A 3-Days Workshop on e-Granthalaya for Auto- mation and Networking of KVs Libraries was con- ducted at Kendriya Vid- yalaya, Sec 29 B, Chandigarh during 16th18th August 2011. The workshop was jointly organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and (KVS) and National Informatics Centre (NIC), Chandigarh. The workshop was at- tended by 36 participants working in different KV Schools as Librarian in Chandigarh Region. Dur- ing the workshop, CDs of the e-Granthalaya Soft- ware were distributed. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an Autonomous Body under Ministry of HRD, GOI and catering the needs of children education for Central Government employees. There are over 1000+ KVs in the country, spread in all the states and providing school education. Chandigarh Region is having 68 KVs where good libraries exist to cater the need of the children, During 2008, KVS has decided to use the e-Granthalaya Software for Automation and Networking of Libraries. In the next phase, a Union Catalog of all the KVS and a home- page for all schools will also be launched. laya Sangathan, Chandigarh and

mate all the schools libraries in

Chandigarh Region. There are 68

KVs in Chandigarh Region.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an Autonomous Body under Ministry of HRD, GOI

and catering the needs of children education for Central Government employees. There are

over 1000+ KVs in the country, spread in all the states and providing school education.

Chandigarh Region is having 68 KVs where good libraries exist to cater the need of the

children, During 2008, KVS has decided to use the e-Granthalaya Software for Automation

and Networking of Libraries. In the next phase, a Union Catalog of all the KVS and a home-

During the Concluding Session, Shree M S Chauhan, Assistant

Commissioner, KVS, Chandigarh presented the certificate to the

the efforts being made by the NIC for Automation and Networking
