We have not stopped our fund raising efforts since our Flag Day in May raising over
$70,000 for RSVP. I would like to thank all volunteers and staff involved, without all of
you this would not be possible. Immediately following Flag Day is the M+W Singapore
Charity Golf on 20th July. This is the second time M+W has adopted RSVP, helping us to
raise $447,000 and $380,000 net with the additional contribution from the Tote Board.
My deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the M+W management, organising
committee and RSVP volunteers and staff for making this possible….

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
On 18 June at 7.15pm, 30 members, staff and
beneficiaries from the Malay Youth Literary Association
(4PM) broke fast with 30 of our RSVP senior volunteers at
our Bishan office. This is the first time RSVP is organising
such an event and it is heartening to see seniors and
youths of different races and backgrounds coming
together to bond in a meaningful occasion. Also, this
event symbolised RSVP’s drive to push inter-generational
volunteerism and aim to promote volunteerism within the
Malay community. Mr Nick Iskandar Mohd Idris, the
representative from 4PM and the Chairman of Ramadan...
IFTAR RAMADAN BREAK FAST COMMUNITY BONDING
278 enthusiastic golfers filled the Singapore Island Country Club New Course, for the M+W Singapore Charity Golf 2016 despite the thundery showers in the morning and unpredictable weather in the afternoon on Wednesday 20 July 2016. This is the second time that M+W Singapore has championed the event by taking on the challenging task of organising and also helping to sell flights for the event. It is a truly commendable effort for a corporation to spearhead organising such a large scale charity golf event with the aim of ... (Read More)

BRINGING JOY AND CHEER TO RESIDENTS FROM LIONS HOME FOR THE ELDERS
20 staff volunteers from Pon Asia and 15 RSVP senior volunteers
brought joy and cheer to 33 residents from Lions Home for the Elders
at Bishan on 10 June. RSVP volunteers from the Karaoke Group kick
started the 2-hour programme with their robust singing and melodic
voices, bringing back lovely memories of the good old days. After a
sumptuous high tea, the Pon Asia volunteers took...
LEARNING JOURNEY WITH MARSILING PRIMARY SCHOOL

taken on a learning journey through the Singapore City Gallery,
formerly known as the URA Gallery. Through detailed to-scale

Between 11 and 12 June, for one weekend only,
members of the public, in particular seniors were able to
relive the excitement of Chinatown’s hawker scenes and
discover old trades of Singapore’s past through engaging
conversations. In an exciting collaboration with National
Gallery Singapore, RSVP volunteers provided gallery
tours in two different Chinese dialects – Hokkien (11
June) and Cantonese (12 June). About 20 people
attended the tour on each day and many of them were
in their late 50s... (Read More)
