KEEP ALL FLAME AND HEAT SOURCES AWAY FROM THIS TENT. This tent fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with an open flame or other heat source. Failure to keep all flame and heat resources away from this tent can result in a fire that can burn, injure or kill you.

NEVER USE ANY FUEL BURNING PRODUCTS INSIDE OR WITHIN PROXIMITY OF THIS TENT.Use of fuel burning products such as stove, gas lantern or gas heater inside or within proximity of this tent will build up accumulation of dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide, which will cause serious injury or death.

IMPORTANT ZIPPEREnsure all zips are closed during erection of your Companion exo tent. If the zips are open, the tent can be pulled out of shape and create undue stress on the zips when trying to close them.

GUY ROPESAll guy ropes are to be pegged at their full length at all times.

FLYSHEETUse the flysheet provided to keep the tent waterproof in wet conditions.

REMOVING PEGSPegs should be pulled out with another peg, hammer or a peg puller. Never by pulling on the tent. Avoid pegging tent to the point that it stretches the fabric. Overstretching may cause peg loops to tear.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS Always clean and dry your tent thoroughly before packing it away. Storing a wet tent will cause mildew and will dramatically shorten the life of the fabric.

• Only clean your tent with warm water (not hot) and a sponge• Do not store directly on concrete floors.• Do not pack pegs or poles inside your tent. Use separate storage bag.

WATERPROOFINGCompanion exo tents have the toughest water repellent treatment possible. do not treat the fabric with any type of waterproofing agent. doing so will void warranty.

CONDENSATION The polycotton canvas and ripstop polyester fabrics are coated with acrylic to repel water. This coating reduces air permeability and leads to condensation similar to that which occurs on car windows under certain conditions. This is caused by lower temperatures on the outside of the tent combined with body heat or wet clothing inside of the tent. When this occurs, avoid touching walls to reduce contact leakage. Leaving the doors and windows open will reduce moisture condensation. Some condensation is normal with polycotton canvas and ripstop polyester fabrics and should not be considered as a defect.

MILDEWTo avoid mildew, never put your tent away wet or damp. However, if mildew occurs, use a soft bristle brush or sponge with mild detergent to clean. Let the tent dry in the sunlight and re-apply seam sealer compound on the inside of the seams.

REPAIRING A TEARFor small tears, use a self-adhesive patch kit. We recommend a canvas or awning repairer for larger tears.

FADING FABRICDo not leave your tent set up in direct sunlight longer than it is necessary. If left in sunlight for prolonged periods of time, fabric will fade and weaken.

FLOOR CONDENSATION Placing a ground sheet under your tent prevents the floor from feeling damp and helps prolong its life. The ground sheet should be smaller than the tent’s floor to prevent rain from running under the tent.
