In these individually negotiated con-tracts, we bring together joint mainte-nance concepts from preventive mea-sures, service period and spare parts logistics/management modules, and pro-vide access to Siemens service engineers with defined response times. Siemens covers the cost risk by billing services at flat rates (contractual costs).

The overall objective is to give you ef-ficient, customized maintenance support. You do not bear any risks, and can rely on high machine availability. Under the joint agreement, we ensure access to qualified Siemens service engineers for on-site troubleshooting and professional spare parts logistics, which therefore also ensures that we stay in close contact with our customers.

The ”Extended Machine Contracts“ package covers contractually agreed services, which are individually tailored to your particular require-ments and specified as a flat rate in a service agreement. We not only offer you custom-ized maintenance solutions, but also reduce your exposure to machine downtime costs.

The result is effective assur-ance of your machine avail-ability. The flat rate billing of services gives end users production planning security and eliminates the risk of ad-ditional costs.

Repair Service Contract (RSC): After-sales service at flat rates

Siemens has developed the repair service contract specifically for machine manu-facturers and dealers. It offers after-sales service at the machine installation site at flat rate prices. With this contractual service, you protect yourself for a period of time of your choice against the labor and material replacement costs that an end user incurs when troubleshooting our products after the second commis-sioning. The labor services cover the provision of service engineers, fault diagnostics and resolving the fault. The terms of the contract can extend the warranty period for up to five years. For services beyond the scope of the RSC, you can utilize your regional customer support or purchase additional services. These include extended service periods, negotiated response times and preven-tive measures.

Local Service Contract (LSC): The modular preventive program

With this service contract, we offer ma-chine end users an individual, modular service package that ensures a high level of machine tool and production system availability – making a crucial contribu-tion to efficient production. The scope of a service contract is matched to the individual service concept. We also offer our contractual services outside our regu-lar office hours. This means that you can contact Siemens Service up to 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. We also offer our contractual services with shorter response times ranging from the regular ”next day“ down to four hours.

We can offer you an all-inclu-sive package:

• Generate a data backup • Replace fans and buffer batteries

• Check filters and operator control elements

• Provide recommendations for solutions

InspectionControl components – such as fans and operator control elements – are checked in a defined way. You receive a status report.

Data backupAll of the control and drive-relevant data of your machines and systems are saved and given to you for professional and secure archiving. This data backup is required when recommissioning your machines.

Maintenance We perform defined maintenance work for your CNC control and everything associated with it to increase the avail-ability of your machine (e.g. check and replace fans and batteries). The mainte-nance also includes the inspection and data backup. You receive a maintenance report.

Lifecycle CheckWe document the machine and system data and all of the control and drive-relevant modules locally at your site. The spare parts analysis based on this shows you the availability of spare parts. For critical or discontinued components, recommendations are given for replace-ment parts and solutions based on replacement products. Service-relevant documentation is checked to ensure that it is available. You are provided with an analysis report.
