Happy New Year!!!
January 2016
Eagle News...Preschool
We ended our year off with a bang!
HELPING THE HOMELESS!
The Explorers and Butterflies experienced a different type of giving this season, giving to those who go without. The project was to collect items from our families that a homeless person would find helpful. Socks, gloves, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, fresh fruit and more. Every Explorer & Butterfly was able to decorate a
grocery sack and fill it with the many items, keeping in mind one special person who would receive it. On December 19th, Miss Brittney, Mrs. Christie, the Mundello family (Autumn) and the Loftin family (Laina) met at Turlock Gospel Mission and delivered 24 care packages, clothing and more to many deserving folks.
Some quotes from a few Explorers: If I saw a homeless person I would...
Scarlett, ''Give them a hug.''
Peyton, ''I will give you anything you want, just tell me what you want!''
Jonathan, ''Give them a hug and money.''
Kalp, ''Give them some food and water and chicken nuggets, some bubble gum and bread!''
