Patterns within the Earth's Patterns within the Earth's SystemSystem

The Benguela CurrentThe Benguela Current::It begins as a northward flow off the Cape of Good Hope, where it skirts the western African coast equatorward until around 24°S-30°S. Here most of it separates from the coast as it bends toward the northwest. However, two branches of the current do continue along the coast, and one of them joins the Angola Current at the Angola-Benguela front near 16°S

The Caribbean Current:The Caribbean Current:is a semi-enclosed sea adjacent to the landmasses of Central and South America. The closely spaced chain of islands, banks, and sills of the Antilles Islands Arc separate the Caribbean from the Atlantic Ocean and act as a sieve for the inflow of Atlantic water

The Four Process That Shape The The Four Process That Shape The Earth's Surface.Earth's Surface.

Solidification:Solidification:atoms of a liquid, such as melted metal, begin to bond together at the nucleation points and start to form crystals

Weathering:Weathering:the breaking down of rocks, soils and minerals as well as artificial materials through contact with the Earth's atmosphere, biota and waters

Erosion:Erosion:the process of weathering and transport of solids (sediment, soil, rock and other particles) in the natural environment or their source and deposits them elsewhere

Deposition:Deposition:molecules settling out of a solution.

What process is mainly What process is mainly responsible for shaping the responsible for shaping the

Earth's surface?Earth's surface?

Erosion because the wearing down and the moving of rocks and soil from one place to another.

The natural agents of erosion are water, wind, and ice.

What is Mitosis?What is Mitosis?

The nuclear division plus cytokinesis, and produces two identical daughter cells during prophase, prometaphase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.

What is Meiosis?What is Meiosis?

A special type of cell division necessary for sexual reproduction.

In animals meiosis produces gametes like sperm and egg cells.

other organisms like fungi generates spores.
