2.2 ClassificationClassifies the importance of a task for the completion of the on job training record. Following classifications are used.

Mandatory (M)This indicates that the related task is required for the completion of the on job training record.

Desirable (D)This indicates that the related task is not necessarily required, but highly desirable, for the completion of the on job training record.

However, 70% of the desirable classified tasks within one ATA Chapter must be accomplished for the completion of the on job training record.

If less than 4 tasks are given in an ATA Chapter, 2 of the desirable classified tasks must be accomplished.

Open (O)This indicates that the related task is not necessary for the completion of the on job training record. The certification of such a task however can be used for later issues of special qualifications.

2.3 Remark:The Bombardier- Aircraft Maintenance. Manuals(A.M.M) part I &

Part II will be used as reference.

2.4 Duration :

The program will be done in no less than two (02) weeks but it may vary depending on the parameters below:

a) The knowledge & experience of the participants on a heavy aircraft/ aircraft with similar technologies .(+/- 5years)

b) The availability of the aircraft.

The practical maintenance – training program presented is applicable to Spicejet Engineering and Maintenance personnel who have successfully completed the theoretical portion of DGCA Approved Level 03 Type Course.

This training is intended to be performed during maintenance activities on a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft

The practical maintenance training includes:

Servicing aspects.

Introduction to system’s operation & indications.

Locations of the main components.

System operational checks/tasks and/or functional checks/tasks.

Practical use of essential special & peculiar tools.

OBJECTIVIES

The objectives of the practical *ON JOB TRAINING* are:

To introduce the eligible engineering and maintenance personnel to the tasks described in Bombardier official publications. It is also the intention to use the Maintenance manual assuring that the applicable tests are in accordance with the equipment installed.

To enable the candidates to carry out the aircraft maintenance and safety procedures.

This training is based on procedures demonstration and actual performance of the tasks.

NOTES TO ENGINEER/AME License Holder

The blank rows / pages of the logbook could/should be used to record details of any Troubleshooting, Defect Investigation and Rectification tasks, which you may be involved during your training.

You should retain a copy of the completed OJT Logbook when you submit the original to the training manager or to use it later when submitting your application for a company approval.
