HEROICS & DRAMATICS East Carolina has won three matches with less than a minute to play or later, includ-ing a pair of double overtime victories (Western Carolina & Charlotte) and on a goal with 31 seconds left in regulation (UCF). The Pirates also lost a match on a goal with 27 seconds to go (at SMU).

COUNTING DOWN East Carolina women’s soccer is just three victories shy of 200 in its history. Since the inception of the program in 1994, the Pirates have averaged greater than nine victories per season.

SEASON OF SHUTOUTS - THE SEQUEL? ECU posted 11 shutouts in 2014, which tied the 2007 team for the most in a single season in school history, and the Pirates have seven in their first 14 games in 2015.

BARON’S BARREN NET Redshirt senior goalkeeper has recorded seven shutouts in ECU’s first 14 matches this season, putting her in a tie for the fourth most in a single season in program history. The Greensboro, N.C., native has blanked opponents in 12 in her last 22 starts dating back to 2014.

FREY FLUSHES UCF Senior striker Kendall Frey entered the re-cord books in dramatic fashion by scoring the game-winning goal with 31 seconds remaining in regulation to defeat UCF, 1-0, on Oct. 1. The goal was her 20th as a Pirate and moved her career point total to 48 - tied for the fifth most in program history.

HITE OUT OF NOWHERE Junior defender Caitlin Hite scored her second-career goal at SMU on Sept. 27 - her first tally in exactly 50 games dating back to Sept. 2, 2013 in a 2-1 overtime win against Western Carolina – the fourth game of her collegiate career.

DOUBLE ORDER OF FREY Kendall Frey scored both goals in ECU’s 2-0 win at Houston on Sept. 24 - her sec-ond-career multi-goal game.

CASH REGISTERS AAC ROOKIE HONOR Freshman forward Courtney Cash was named American Athletic Conference Rookie-of-the-Week after scoring her first collegiate goal in game-winning fashion, netting the lone score in the 107th minute

of the Pirates’ 1-0 double overtime victory over Western Carolina on Sept. 11.

SEAGRAVE SEALS IT Fifth-year senior Stephanie Seagrave scored a golden goal in the 110th minute of a 3-2 double overtime win at Charlotte on Sept. 13. The score was Seagrave’s second of the season and eighth of her career, yet just her first game-winning strike in her 57th-collegiate match.

DOUBLE OT HISTORY East Carolina won back-to-back double overtime games against Western Carolina and Charlotte on Sept. 11 and 13, marking the first time the Pirates accomplished the feat since Oct. 22 and 24 at Cincinnati and Louisville in 2004. The last time ECU won two double overtime matches in a season was 2008.

PIRATE AMBUSH ECU recorded 28 shots, including 15 on goal, in its 3-2 double overtime win at Charlotte on Sept. 13. The last time the Pirates took 25 or more shots in a single match was Sept. 18, 2005 when they took 30 attempts against Francis Marion.

Déjà VU East Carolina’s 1-0 double overtime home win over Western Carolina in the 107th minute on Sept. 11 ended in eerily similar fashion as the last time the two teams met in Greenville in 2013 when Lexi Miller scored on a header in the 110th minute of a 2-1 victory over the Catamounts.

THREE CHEERS Senior striker Kendall Frey tied the program record with a career-high three assists, in ECU’s 3-0 road victory at UNC Greensboro on Sept. 6. The last time a Pirate had three in a game was Sarah Kirkley on Oct. 6, 2006 against Marshall.

AAC GOALKEEPER-OF-THE-WEEK Redshirt senior Saundra Baron was named the first American Athletic Con-ference Goalkeeper-of-the-Week for the 2015 season on Aug. 24 after posting back-to-back shutouts against George Mason and Loyola-Chicago. She made six saves across 200 scoreless minutes to help the Pirates to a 1-0-1 record.
