ell it’s not every day that you get to say, “third times a charm” but that is definitely the case for this Aggie and Red Raider. They started dating again for the third time after seeing each other at a friend’s wedding and it was love at first sight, well for the third time!

After dating for about a year, Brandon got down on one knee and popped the big question on a hill in Oakwood, TX that has one of the most beauti-ful views. Chelsey caught a glimpse of him down on one knee and before he could even say anything she said,” What are you doing, get up off the ground!” She then saw a shiny ring glistening in the sun and realized what was going on and of course said “YES!!!”

Wedding planning began right away, and start-ed with finding a wedding venue. Their first stop was the only stop, at Shoemaker Hill Ranch in Jacksonville, TX. As soon as they pulled into the drive and looked to the top of the hill and saw a beautiful house with an awe-some view, they knew that it was the place. The view was breathtaking and was the perfect spot for them to get married! Chelsey and Brandon both agreed and Malinda Felts, the owner of Shoemaker Hill Ranch, was so nice, accommodating and wel-coming, that they chose this as their venue right away.

Their wedding day arrived on April 20, 2013 and after all the planning and hard work the wedding turned out to be gorgeous! The weather was perfect and the scenery was stunning. The guests were seated in the front yard and enjoyed the view of Shoemaker Hill

Brides to beChelsey would definitely

recommend getting a wed-ding coordinator for the day of because it takes so much

stress off of you so don’t have to worry about what needs to be done. Make final decisions early in the planning so when the time is getting closer you can just make touch ups and

relax before the big day.

Ranch as they looked out over a green pasture with a lake and several beautiful oak trees. The reception was enjoyed in the big back yard with lots of tasty treats, including hand dipped Blue Bell Ice Cream and dancing.

Chelsey and Brandon would like to thank the following vendors for helping to make their wedding so special and memorable: Designs by D’Anne for making a beautiful and delicious bride’s cake, Vicki Lipsey for making the groom’s cake, Brenda Bing Catering for all the tasty reception foods, Brianne Campos Photography for capturing our special day, Lilies and Lace, and Christi Hanks from Christi’s Four Seasons for supply-ing beautiful flowers and doing a wonderful job at decorating as well as taking a lot of stress off the bride by being the wedding coordinator.

Favorite moments: Both agreed that the moment they saw each other was their favorite, the first dance was so sacred and special, and for Chelsey the daddy daughter dance was a wonderful fun moment she was able to share with her dad.
