A very nice start to the day for Ireland, South West England, West Midlands, Wales and North West England. Much of Northern Ireland and Scotland will have plenty of sunshine too but a little more cloud and the isolated risk of a few scattered showers.

Cloud will hang on to Eastern areas of England for a while longer.

The sunny skies should continue for pretty much everywhere. The South East should join in with blue skies by now though perhaps just some cloud clinging onto the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts.

Temperatures will respond well therefore making it feel pleasant or warm in the sun. Wearing some sun cream if out all day may be useful as the sun is now getting quite strong.
