This old city square was built in 1619. In this square, there were not only bullfights, but the dreaded Inquisition would parade, and then burn, residents that they thought were guilty of many sins. CITY: Madrid. COUNTRY: Spain. 5. This infamous 48 km wall used to separate the East from the West. 5,000 people tried to climb over, and 192 were shot and killed for attempting it. 15. This park provides a wide range of animals in their natural habitat and serves as a quick sampler of the other outdoor adventures offered in this country.

16. The Kalahari Desert covers much of the northwest of this country. Its capital doesn’t offer much in terms of sightseeing but just a short drive away is this country’s “Las Vegas”!

17. This country’s capital city was built specifically to be the capital city in 1908! Other than the government buildings, it offers modern architecture and an attraction that can also be found in Lake Geneva, Switzerland. You won’t find any kangaroos though!

18. This capital city is located on the country’s North Island. Not much to see here, but nearby Rotorua is located on what type of geological land that produces what?
