DANCE SONG CONTINUES:

JENNIFER AUGUST, a very pretty 18 year old, is doing hergymnastics in a rhythm that is in sync with the MUSIC.

EXT. MIAMI BEACH - DAY3 3


Wide overhead shot. Across the screen it says MIAMI BEACH.

INT. COMMERCIAL KITCHEN - HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY4 4


We see a young good looking boy KEN who is about 20 yearsold. While washing dishes he dances some fancy Hip Hop steps.

In leotard, Jennifer doing some ballet moves and pirouettes.

Ken sweeps, and dances with a broom as he works.

Ken dances hip hop down a Hallway having a great time.

Jennifer is showing off her great hip hop dance moves to hergirlfriends. Her friends love the steps and applaud her.

Ken dances to his locker M.J. style, brushes his hair withhis hands and slams the locker shut. On his locker door is a

MIAMI BEACH Dance Contest sign. A busboy nearby looks at himwith a smile, and gives him a thumbs up. Ken points hisfinger, like shooting a gun, smiles, and dances to the door.Split screen of Jennifer and Ken Hip Hop dancing incredibly.

EXT. BEVERLY HILLS HIGH SCHOOL - DAY9 9

Jennifer hugs her girlfriends goodbye outside the school.

JENNIFER

See you guys next year.

BETTYSee ya, Jennifer. Have fun on yourtrip.

JENNIFEROh yeah, sure. (Sarcastically)

And with that she is gone with a smile.

Jennifer then approaches a large expensive car where a driverawaits her. He opens the rear door for her and she gets in.

EXT. ALLEY WAY - EXTERIOR OF HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY10 10

DANCE SONG VOLUME GOES UP comes from a Ghetto Blaster as Kendances and puts out the garbage. An older man HAL SANDERS ispassing by him. HAL SANDERS, doesnt like the music and has anasty look on his face. Ken addresses Hal in a friendly way.

Hal looks at Ken with cold eyes. OPENING DANCE SONG 1 ENDS.

INT. DINING ROOM - BEVERLY HILLS MANSION - DAY11 11

Jennifer sits with her mother at the table as a butler servesthem on silver platters. The mother is a beautiful woman inher forties who is used to having the very best at all times.

MOTHERYou have an early flight tomorrow,dear. So make sure all of yourluggage is packed before you turnin tonight.

JENNIFERI am not at all sure I really wantto take this trip, Mother. You toldme i could go to Thailand to studyThai Dancing. Its so interesting.

MOTHERWeve been over this alreadyJennifer. Your father wants you tospend the summer with him. You canstill practice your Thai dancing.Whats so bad about that?

JENNIFERNothing, Mother. Its just that tothis day I still dont understandwhy you and my father separated anddidnt get a divorce.

MOTHERIve told you Jennifer, itssomething I prefer not to discuss.Now eat your dinner and dontworry. Youre father manages a veryunique hotel, where almost all thehelp are performers. I am certainyou will have a wonderful time inMIAMI BEACH.

Jennifer dips her fork into the food on her plate,dissatisfied with her Mothers answer.

EXT. OUTDOOR FOOD STAND - MIAMI BEACH - DAY12 12

Ken at a small food stand using chopsticks to eat noodles.Over this shot we HEAR the sound of a commercial jet.

2. A NEW HIP HOP DANCE SONG KICKS IN:

EXT. MIAMI BEACH AIRPORT - DAY16 16

Jennifer walks over to a driver with a private car who hasher name on his sign. The driver takes her bags, opens her

door, gets in and they drive off.

EXT. PRIVATE CAR - COLLINS AVENUE - MIAMI BEACH - DAY17 17

Shot of the car making its way down a busy main beach road.We see the beautiful beach and the many hotels lining it.

EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - MIAMI BEACH - DAY18 18

Jennifers car pulls up to the front of an upscale boutiqueHotel called Hit Parade Hotel. As she gets out of the car

she looks at this place with delight. It just looks like fun.

She sees a good looking, hip man in his late forties, THECAPTAIN, who is dressed like an old British soldier. He iswelcoming all the Hotels new guests in his own special way.

THE CAPTAINWelcome to Miami Beach and the HitParade Hotel. The place where allyour dreams come true.

He does a Poppin/Lockin Dance step and speaks to Jennifer.

THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D)This way, my lady. Your room awaitsyou. I know who YOU are. Youre thelady of the house !!

She smiles and follows him to the door.

JENNIFERAnd whats your name?

THE CAPTAINThey call me The CAPTAIN.

JENNIFERThe CAPTAIN?

THE CAPTAINYou got it. You want somethingaround here, just ask The CAPTAIN.

JENNIFERThats a good thing to know.

THE CAPTAIN(Points his finger in aHip way)

You got it AGAIN!

The Captain opens the Lobby door and does another dance move.

THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D)Welcome to MY hotel, my lady.

JENNIFERI thought this was my fathershotel.

He answers with a big smile.

THE CAPTAINThings work out better for me,

because I let him believe that.

She smiles and goes inside as he does another Dance move.

INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY19 19

In the Lobby Jennifer looks on in awe as she sees a manriding around on a unicycle while juggling bowling pins, anda girl in a ballet tutu also dances right by her. As shewalks through the Lobby she sees a man on tall stilts, andshe passes by a couple, dressed in a 1800s southern periodgown and a 1800s period suit, talking to each other.

MAN #1Frankly, my dear. I dont give adamn!

JENNIFERHaha, thats great!! Gone With TheWind my favorite movie!

She walks over to the check in counter, and the receptionistAntonio, in a Shakespearean outfit comes to wait on her.

ANTONIOWhat's in a name? That which we

call a rose by any other name wouldsmell as sweet.

He reaches under the counter and he hands her a single rose.

ANTONIO (CONTD)For you, my lady. I am Antonio YOURreceptionist.

She takes the rose.

JENNIFERThank you, kind sir.

She curtsies, he bows.

A handsome boy in his early 20s DANNY GOODMAN greets her.

DANNYHello, you must be Jennifer.

JENNIFERYes, yes I am.

DANNYIm Danny. The head bellboy here at

the Hotel. You can call me Dan.

Jennifer is distracted by Ken who is in the lobby doing somegreat dance steps with a crowd circled around watching him.HIP HOP DANCE SONG 2 FADES and JENNIFER and KENS LOVE THEME3 KICKS IN and everything becomes slow motion and dream like.It is as if time stood still as Ken and Jennifer look at eachother. Danny wants to break this up but Jennifer is lost in adream. There is a definite connection between them.

DANNY (V.O.) (CONTD)Your father asked me to greet youand bring you to your suite.. Heswaiting for you there.... We reallyshould be going now.... Your fatheris waiting...... Jennifer can youhear me?...Jennifer?...Jennifer?

She comes out of her dream and for a moment seems lost.

JENNIFERHmmm? Oh, yes, yes of course.

KEN and JENNIFERS THEME 3 ENDS Danny motions with his hand.

DANNYShall we?

Jennifer follows Danny. She turns around and looks towardwhere Ken was, but he is gone. She continues to the elevator.

INT. PENTHOUSE SUITE DOORWAY- DAY20 20

As Danny opens the door he addresses Jennifer one last time.

DANNYHave a wonderful stay and I amcertain I will see you again,Hopefully very soon.

JENNIFERThank you. Here, let me give you atip or something.

She digs into her purse.

DANNYNo, no. I couldnt accept moneyfrom you. The chance to gaze uponyour beauty has been more thanenough payment for me.

JENNIFER

I see. Thank you, very much.

Danny starts to speak. But Jennifer closes the door on him.

INTERIOR - JENNIFERS SUITE - DAY21 21

She exhales and shakes her head as she turns to find herfather standing there. This is JERRY AUGUST, a very goodlooking, well dressed and polished American business man inhis late forties who used to be a world champion boxer. Hesmiles and opens his arms to embrace his daughter Jennifer.

JERRYJenny.

JENNIFERFather.

She runs over to him and gives him a big hug. They separateand Jerry August stands there looking at her in awe.

JERRYLook at you. Youve gotten so bigand so pretty too. I cant believeits been almost three years.

JENNIFERActually, its been five. Fiveyears, three months and fourteendays to be exact Father.

Jerry just stares at her for a moment.

JERRYI see.

JENNIFERIve counted every moment.

An uneasy moment of silence as both are uncomfortable.

JERRYOkay, Im really sorry about that.But let me tell you, I have neverforgotten about my number one girl.

JENNIFERIt doesnt always feel like that,you know. I mean, I basically grewup without a father.

JERRY

I know...I know. And Im sorryabout that too Jenny. I guess Ijust got too caught up in theglamour of the boxing world.. Inever did take any of your mothersmoney, you know that, right?

JENNIFERIts not always about the money,Dad.

JERRYCome on, what do you say we try toget past that and enjoy the summertogether. We cant change the pastbut there is no limit to what wecan do in the future, right?

She smiles at him.

JENNIFERThats true.

JERRYSo how do you like the place sofar? (He sits down)

JENNIFER

(She sits) The hotel is great. Inever saw a place like this before.

JERRYI thought you might like it. Yourmother tells me that youre quitethe dancer. Is that right?

JENNIFERIve been studying for some yearsnow.

JERRY

Are you really good?

She gives him a look.

JENNIFERI AM your daughter.

JERRY(grinning)

True. Very true.

His cell phone rings. He looks at it.

JERRY (CONTD)Uh oh. I have a business meetingIm late for. But Ill be backshortly. Why dont you get somerest for now and we can have dinnerthis evening. Hows that sound?

JENNIFERSounds good to me.

He gets up and gives her a small kiss on her forehead.

JERRYIm really glad youre here, kiddo.

JENNIFERMe too.

JERRYSee you in a little while.

Jerry gives her a hug and leaves. Jennifer walks over to thewindow and looks out to see a panoramic view of the city.

4. A HIP HOP DANCE SONG KICKS IN. LYRICS TO FIT THE ACTION.

EXT. CITY STREET MIAMI BEACH - NIGHT22 22

Jennifer walks alone down a busy street where there are clubsand discos, with lots of people going in and out of them.Jennifer comes to a Disco that looks interesting to her, andshe stops and decides to go inside.

INT. DISCO CLUB - NIGHT23 23

Jennifer walks through the club and sees people dancingeverywhere. It energizes her. She notices a large crowd

gathering, and in the middle is Ken again, performing a hip-hop dance routine, which the crowd is loving. Jennifer issurprised to see the same guy she saw at the hotel. Kennotices her watching him and starts to dance for her only, atleast for the moment. Jennifer is enjoying this attention.The dance ends and the crowd and Jennifer applaud wildly. Thecrowd disperses and Jennifer walks over to Ken.

JENNIFERThat was really good! Youre agreat dancer.

KEN

Thanks

JENNIFERIm Jennifer. Jennifer August. Isaw you earlier in the Hit ParadeHotel Lobby.

KENYeah, I saw you too. Im Ken.

They shake hands awkwardly.

JENNIFERNice to meet you.

KENSame here. Wait a minute, did yousay August?

JENNIFERYes.

KENYoure the bosss daughter?

JENNIFERYes, I know. Is that a problem?

KENNo, well...not yet anyway.

JENNIFERDont let it bother you. Hes notthat bad.

KENNot to you, but for me, I could getfired. Im a dishwasher there.

JENNIFER

So, why would you lose your job? Idont think so. What have you done?

KENNo, You dont understand. In myfamily i was taught that a personof my class doesnt mingle with aperson in your class.

JENNIFERWell, in my family everybody prettymuch talks to everybody. So noproblem. Okay?

KENReally?

JENNIFERReally.

(pause)How long have you been dancing?

KENAbout five years.

JENNIFERThats about the same as me.

KEN(excited)

Youre a dancer?

JENNIFERKind of...Well, I try.

Ken motions towards the dance floor with his hand.

KENThen show me.

JENNIFEROnly if you dance with me.

KENCool. If you say its okay...itsokay!

Ken takes her hand and leads her to the dance floor. Shewatches him dance for a moment and then she repeats what hejust did, and does it REALLY well, and we see that Ken isimpressed with her dancing. So they start dancing togetherand in a few moments a crowd gathers around watching them.This leads to a playful dance battle where one does a solo

and invites the other to do one too. The crowd loves it.

We see Danny is also in the club, watching them. And is nottoo happy about this. Jennifer and Ken continue to dancehaving a great time. HIP HOP DANCE SONG 4 FADES as we.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - LATER THAT NIGHT24 24

Ken pulls up to the front of the Hotel on his small scooterwith Jennifer on the back. Jennifer gets off.

JENNIFERThanks Ken, I had a great time.

KENMe too.

There is an awkward moment between the two where neither oneof them really knows what to say or do.

JENNIFERSo, will I see you again?

KENSure, I have to be at work here inabout five hours.

JENNIFEROh, sorry. I didnt realize it wasgetting so late.

KENNot a problem. I do it all thetime. Well, not with agirl...you...you know what I mean.

JENNIFERI think I do. See you later.

Ken drives off as Jennifer walks towards the front door. TheCaptain approaches her.

THE CAPTAINWhat is this? My lady rides in on apumpkin, when she has so many grandchariots at her beck and call?

JENNIFERSometimes I think I prefer the

company of pumpkins.

The Captain has a big smile across his face.

THE CAPTAINWiser words have never been spoken,my lady.

She smiles back at him.

THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D)Come, let me get the door for you.

The Captain does a Dance step as they move toward the door.

INT. PENTHOUSE SUITE - NIGHT25 25

5. THAI SONG KICKS IN. Jennifer sits on the bed with herlaptop. She types in Thai Dancing and tries some Thai handmoves, gets off the bed and does some Thai foot moves aswell. She seems very pleased with herself and continues.

CUT TO:

EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY26 26

Ken pulls up to Hotel on his scooter, jumps off and runs tothe door. The Captain in a new outfit opens the door for him.

KENGood morning, Captain.

THE CAPTAINGood morning...pumpkin.

Ken looks at him strangely, not knowing what he means.


Ken crosses the lobby as a couple Tap dance in front of him.Ken sees Danny and tries to avoid him. But its too late.

DANNYKen! Ken!!!

Ken stops and looks at Danny, and can tell that he is upset.

DANNY (CONT'D)Front and center. Right now!

Ken walks over to him and stands in front of him.

DANNY (CONT'D)Youre late Ken. Again.

Ken stammers a bit.

KENYeah, Im a...Im sorry about...It couldnt be helped. I...I hadsome trouble with my scooter.

DANNYReally? I think you had sometrouble with your brain.

Ken looks at him questioningly.

DANNY (CONT'D)I was also at the club last night.I saw you dancing with the bosssdaughter. What were you thinking,huh?

KENWe were just dancing.

DANNYYeah, well how about you Dance yourass up to Mr. Sanders suite andmake his bed. Hes already yelledat me because you werent here.

KENIm Sorry....Ill do it right away.

Danny gets even closer to Ken, in a threatening manner.

DANNYAnd Ken...stay away from the Augustgirl, or youre gonna have nothingbut trouble around here. Got it?

KENI got it.

DANNYNow go and do your work, and wellsee if you still have a job at theend of the day.

Ken goes towards the elevator and passes two men in Victoriancostumes who are fencing with each other. He turns back atDanny who is still glaring at him. Ken just smiles back.

INT. HOTEL - HOTEL HALLWAY AND HALS SUITE - DAY28 28

Ken is about to knock on the door. Before he can, it opens toreveal Hal Sanders, who is not in a very happy mood.

HAL SANDERSIts about time you showed up. Getin here and get my bed done.

KENYes sir.

Ken enters the suite and we FOLLOW him in. Hal sits down.

INT. HAL SANDERS SUITE - DAY29 29

Ken goes right to the king sized bed and begins making it up.

HAL SANDERSIve been living in this hotel foryears and I pay good money for it.I expect my bed to be made and mytowels to be changed by nine a.m.every morning. No exception.

KENYes sir.

HAL SANDERSIs that too much to ask?

KENNo sir.

HAL SANDERSBecause if it is, I could go andlive somewhere else. And I think ifI did that, you would probably loseyour job. Isnt that right?

KENYes sir.

HAL SANDERSSo just finish your work and get

out of here.

Hal gets up and walks toward the next room.

KENOk Pops...I mean, Yes sir.

HAL SANDERS(He Stops and turns)

One more thing boy. Dont ever callme Pops again. Im not your father.Im not anybodys father. Notanymore!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!!!

Ken looks at Hal and sees his face has gone completely red.

KENYes sir.

Hal turns, storms into the adjoining room and slams the door.

Ken starts to clean the coffee table and sees a framed photoof a young man and a Helicopter on it. He looks at photo andwonders who this young man is.

INT. HOTEL HALS HALLWAY - DAY30 30

Ken is walking down Hals hallway with an arm load of towelsand dirty linens. Jennifer spots Ken and approaches him.

JENNIFERHi Ken, Ive been looking for you.

KEN says nothing and looks very depressed.

JENNIFER (CONTD)Not having a good day, huh?

KENNot really, got chewed out by my

boss and then again by a crazy oldman who lives here.

JENNIFERSounds like you need a break. Whydont you take the rest of the dayoff and show me around the city.

KENId like to do that, but todays abad day. Id get fired, for sure.

JENNIFER

Today is a very good day! You needcheering up and I need a guide, aperfect match. So lets go.

He smiles but is still worried.

KENYoure Crazy!! I cant do that.

JENNIFERDont worry. You wont get fired. Ipromise you that. AND...I donttake no for an answer.

Jennifer takes the dirty linens from his arms.

JENNIFER (CONT'D)Give me those.

She drops them on the floor against the wall.

KENYou cant do...

JENNIFERI cant do what? My father runs thehotel. Dont worry, Ill take careof it. Now come on, lets have somefun! Youre right i AM crazy!!Crazy and Fun!! Lets go.

Jennifer grabs his hand and runs off with him.

6. A HIP HOP DANCE SONG KICKS IN OVER THE FOLLOWING MONTAGE.

EXT. MIAMI BEACH - MONTAGE- DAY/EVENING31 31

The montage will be these scenes and others, as we see Kenand Jennifer have a great fun time and start to fall in love.

1. Ken and Jennifer riding through the city on the scooter.

2. They Take pictures with the local golden bicycle man.

3. Running on the beach.

4. Water skiing ala AARON MAN.

5. Ken and Jennifer on the beach watching fireworks.

6. Theyre at a Buddhist Temple. She lights a candle and saysa prayer. Ken asks her why she did it. She says she is hoping

and praying that her Mom and Dad get back together one day.

7. In front of a Boxing sign or exhibition. Jennifer pretendsto punch Ken and Ken falls over in slow motion.

8. Local market, where Ken buys Jennifer a necklace with aheart on it. Nothing expensive, just a trinket but it has alot of meaning to her and her facial expression shows it.

9. MIAMI BEACH Sign with restaurant boats in foreground.Jennifer doesnt know how to use chopsticks so Ken teachesher. She lifts some noodles and they slide out over and overagain.

10. They stop and watch Street B-Boy Break dancers.

11. Sunrise. Standing on the end of a long pier over theocean, looking into each others eyes deeply.

12. They eat Ice Cream. He starts Juggling with it. Somefalls on his face. She throws more ice cream on his face, hethrows it back at her. It becomes an ice cream fight betweenthe two of them. Other customers who are watching this seehow much fun it is, and join in, so everyone near them getsinvolved in it. It ends with them hugging, as Ice Cream dripsall over them. The other customers do the same, so everyoneis laughing and having a Great time.

EXT. JENNIFERS SUITE - BALCONY OVERLOOKING THE SEA- DAY32 32

Jennifer and Jerry sit at a breakfast table on her balcony.She is putting jam on a piece of toast as he speaks to her.

JERRYSo where have you been I haventsee much of you?

JENNIFEROh, Ive been around. Just enjoyingthis wonderful city of yours.

JERRYAll by yourself?

JENNIFER

Well, not exactly.

JERRYNot exactly? What does that mean,not exactly?

She looks at him like kids look at their parents some times.

JENNIFERDad, please, Im 18 years old.

He smiles an uncomfortable smile and then sips his coffee.

JERRYYes, yes you are.

(a bit sarcastically)Sorry, I keep forgetting my littlegirl is all grown up now.

JENNIFERDad.

JERRYOkay, okay. Its just that I worryabout you. You know?

JENNIFERWell, you dont have to.

He doesnt agree with this, but decides to let it go for now.

JERRYSo, how do you like the hotel?

JENNIFERIts wonderful. All the performerseverywhere. This place is great.

JERRY

It was all my idea. It neededturning around, so thats what Icame up with.

JENNIFERIts genius. Really. Ive nevereven imagined anything like this.

JERRYGood, Im glad you like it.(A Pause)Listen, I was thinking you shouldgo out with a nice boy, so I

arranged a dinner date for youtonight with Danny the Bellboy.

JENNIFERThats what you call thinking?

JERRYHey, a good looking All Americankid, and from a good family too.Im sure you two will get along.

JENNIFERHes really not my type, Dad. And

Ive already met someone.

Her father smiles at this.

JERRYReally? Thats great. Tell me more.Who is he?

JENNIFERHes a really nice guy and heswell...kinda cute. In fact he workshere at the hotel.

Suddenly Jerry becomes concerned.

JERRYWhat? What does he do here?

JENNIFERHes a dishwasher. And I think hedoes a bunch of other things too,including dancing. And hes areally fabulous dancer.

Jerry gets very serious now.

JERRYJennifer, I will not have youdating some kid who works as adishwasher in my hotel, and isobviously below your station.

Now Jennifer is getting angry.

JENNIFERBelow my station?

JERRYYes, below your station.

She begins to shake her head no.

JENNIFERYou...you cant do that.

JERRYI can do that. Im your father.

JENNIFER

No, I mean you cant just disappearfrom my life for five years thenall of a sudden be the caringfather who is going to tell me whatto do. The time for that hasalready passed. You missed most ofmy teenage years. Im eighteen now,Dad. I get to make my own choices.

He looks at her for several moments.

JERRYJeeze, you have so much of yourmother in you, Jennifer.

JENNIFERIm not sure if thats good or bad.

JERRYNeither am I.

Jennifer puts her hand on her fathers hand.

JENNIFERDad, Im glad to be here and tospend this time with you. I didntthink I was going to be, but I am.And I dont want you to take this

the wrong way. I do need you to bemy father. I have always neededthat. Always. But I dont need youto make these types of decisionsfor me. Can you understand that?

JERRYWow that was even more your mother.

He shakes his head and forces a smile. Jennifer smiles.

JENNIFERCan you understand?

JERRYIm trying Jenny. Im trying.

There is an awkward pause, then:

JERRY (CONT'D)Listen, Jennifer...I want you tohave that date with Danny tonight,okay? I know you dont agree withit but I want you to do it.

JENNIFER

A very pretty, sexy girl 19-22 and two other same age girlsare in front of the hotel dancing a hot number that quicklygathers a crowd. The lead girl is CHARLOTTE BLAINE, known asSHOTSY. Danny jumps in, and surprisingly as he said he IS a greatdancer, just as good as the rest of them. He grabs Shotsy andbecomes her dance partner, and During the routine, he looksback at Jennifer just to make sure she is watching him dance.It is obvious that Ken and Danny are trying to impress her.The Captain leans in and speaks to Jennifer.

Ken is walking down this city street aimlessly. There arepeople everywhere but he has never felt so alone.

Ken walks down the side alley outside the kitchen and kicksand old box as he goes, then another, and then another. Inthe doorway to the kitchen sits a Ghetto Blaster. Ken goesinto an angry dance routine. One that reflects his anger andfrustration about Danny and Jennifer. In the middle of KensAngry routine we HEAR the sound of Helicopter blades.

EXT. COUNTRY SIDE - DAY46 46

Hal slideshis legs off the bed as he sits and stares at a photo of hisson, a young good looking man standing next to a helicopter,on the table next to his bed. CAMERA pushes in on Hals face.He is both angry and sad as he looks at this picture. Theloud music noise coming from down below is grating hisnerves. He opens his balcony door, looks over his balcony.and below he sees Ken dancing angrily in the alley way.He watches Ken dancing a bit, then goes back inside his room.


Ken still continues his dance of Anger and Frustration, untilfinally at the end, he kicks over a large trash can.

Ken stands there, breathing hard and out of breath. Suddenlyout of the shadows comes a voice.

Ken looks towards the shadows.

HAL SANDERS(steps out of the shadows)

You blew the routine right before

the ending!!! What the hells wrongwith you? You blew it kid!

KEN(starts to shout)

He turns and starts to exit. Ken turns on the ghetto blaster.

Hal continues walking away angry. Suddenly, as he is leavinghe stops for a moment, hears what Ken is shouting, and thenstops with his back to Ken.

Then seemingly out of nowhere Hal breaks into some dancesteps, and his dancing is simply AMAZING, like hes beendancing his entire life.

Ken watches this in absolute awe.

Hal, realizing what hes done, catches himself and stops. Hehas a questioning look on his face as if even he doesnt evenknow why, or what, possessed him to start dancing. Obviouslyit was just instinctive. He starts to walk out of the alley.

KEN (CONTD)Hey, hey wait. Where did you learnhow to do that, old man?

Hal ignores him and just keeps going to the end of the alley.

HAL SANDERS

(shouting)Just forget you ever saw that.

KEN(To himself)

Man, that was unreal. That oldGeezer! He mustve been a dancerway back when. Wow!!

Ken just stands there looking toward the end of the alley ashe sees Hal rounding the corner and never looking back.

Ken is washing the dishes that are stacked up. The Captain,dressed in a new outfit opens the Kitchen door and peeks in.

KENMorning Captain.

Ken frowns not understanding, and The Captain leaves. Dannycomes along pushing a food cart with fine silverware on it.

Then Danny backs away and smiles again.

She looks at him curiously.

5.B. A HIP HOP THAI DANCE SONG BEGINS SIMPLY AND THEN BUILDS.

Jennifer is walking along the side street when she comesacross a Buddhist temple. She approaches it, and she hearschanting from the Temple. She goes on the grounds, lights anincense, puts her hands together in a Thai praying positionand sits with other visitors and some monks. As she meditatesthe music gets louder and drums join the Music and the rhythmand beat start making it much more intense. During themeditation, we see her image come out of herself and shestarts to dance with Thai styled steps that she has beenpractising in her hotel room. This number grows into a kindof Fantasy Traditional Thai Hip Hop dance number with many

girls and boys also dancing the same style in TraditionalThai outfits. The number ends and we come back to reality.

END OF HIP HOP THAI DANCE SONG 5.B.

Jennifer is now in her normal clothes, dancing the same styleas in her dream sequence, but on the beach. She can hearclapping and looks over to see Danny sitting not far away,clapping and smiling.

Ken is sitting at a table with a cold drink and a computer infront of him. He clicks on the name Hal Sanders and a videocomes up on the screen showing a young man dancing on an old,black and white, television show. The guy he is watching canreally dance incredibly well. Ken nearly falls off his chair.He cant believe what he is seeing. Ken tells his friendswhat he just saw, and they crowd around him to see the videoof Hal dancing. Ken finds another video of Hal dancing and heand his friends sit there just staring at the computer

mesmerized and in awe.


There is a hard pounding at the door. Hal Sanders movestoward the door, and he is visibly upset about this pounding.

HAL SANDERS(loudly)

Alright! Alright! Im comingalready!

He opens the door and standing there is Ken.

HAL SANDERS (CONT'D)What the hell do you want?

KENI need to talk to you.

HAL SANDERSWell, I dont need to talk to you.Now get out of here!

And with that he slams the door in Kens face. But we canHEAR Ken as he starts banging on the door again, immediately.Hal shouts through the door.

HAL SANDERS (CONT'D)(shouting)

Then he leans heavily against the wall with his back and putshis hands over his face as he starts sobbing. He picks up thephoto of his son and hugs it to his chest sobbing some more.

He slides down the wall to the floor. The CAMERA pulls outand away from him sitting, and hugging the photo and crying.


Ken walks head down slowly by reception as if in a fog.

He hears Jennifer laughing and looks up to see her and Dannypassing in the other direction, walking together like theywere old friends. Ken watches them, but they dont noticehim. He looks at the floor again and walks to the front door.

As Ken reaches the front door, The Captain opens it for himand he can see that Ken is down.

Hal on his balcony sees Ken. Hes not happy at what he sees.

HAL SANDERSHey, dont look at me like that. Isaid I could use some lunch so Imhaving lunch. I didnt say you weregetting any. You can eat all youwant on your time, but not on mine.

Shotsy looks to Ken.

16. AN ENERGETIC POP SONG STARTS AND PLAYS OVER THIS SEQUENCE

Ken is running excitedly on the Beach Road to get Jennifer.This is a Parkour Musical sequence as Ken jumps over all ofthe obstacles that are in his way, or blocking him frompassing. This scene is full of energy and excitement, and wecan see on Kens face how anxious he is to get to Jennifer.


Ken finally arrives at the hotel and runs towards theentrance. The Captain opens the door and smiles.

THE CAPTAINShes out at the pool. Go get her.

Ken never stops running and looks at him, trying to figureout how he knows what he knows. Ken runs into the hotel.


Ken runs through the lobby passing the solo performers.

Ken bolts through a glass door and calls out loud.
