3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Set the power to OFF. Do not touch the switch when inserting
batteries or plugging in or replacing the needle.
2. This is not a toy; keep out of reach of children. Recommended for
persons of 14 years and older.
3. Set the switch to OFF after use and remove the batteries or pull out
the plug.
4. Do not mix the old batteries with the new ones.
5. Do not dismantle or rebuild the unit.
6. Do not switch on until the fabric has been put on the unit even though the
top and bottom threads are ready.
4. BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Easy Stitch operates on 4 AA Batteries (not supplied).
2. Take the battery compartment cover off from the bottom of the
unit.
3. Insert the batteries with the + and - correctly aligned.
4. If the adaptor is used, make sure that the poles are correct:
(Please Note: Turn the switch OFF when inserting batteries or
plugging in to avoid hazards.)
5. Always take care to fit your batteries correctly, observing the plus and
minus marks of the battery and product.
6. Always replace a whole set of batteries at one time. Do not mix old
with new.
7. Always store unused batteries in their packaging and away from
metal
objects that may cause a short circuit.
8. Remove dead batteries from product and remove batteries if notusing for some time.
9. Always make sure battery compartments are secure.
10. Never dispose of batteries in fire - risk of batteries exploding.
11. Never attempt to recharge normal batteries.
12. Never allow children to play with batteries.

5. THREADING
Top Threading Instructions:Please refer to diagram A and page 3 for machine parts.
1. Run the thread through the first thread guide eye (15) between top
thread bobbin (6) and thread clamps (9).
2. The thread should be run between the thread clamps (9) from the
top.
3. Run thread through second thread guide eye, situated between the
thread clamps (9) and take up lever (12).
4. Run thread through eye on take up lever (12) and through third
thread guide eye.
5. Run thread through thread guide eye (15) attached to foot holder
pole spring holder (16).
6. Finally run thread through the thread hole (17) from left hand side to
right hand side.
7. Place thread under foot towards back of machine ready to sew.
8. The thread should now be positioned as in diagram A.

5. THREADING (continued)
Bottom Threading Instructions:
1. Press shuttle cover button (25) at rear of machine to release the
shuttle cover plate (22) and remove the plastic cover plate (22).
2. Release approximately 13 centimetres/4-5 inches of thread from
the bobbin.
3. Place the bobbin inside the magnatised
compartment with the loose thread sat
clockwise (in the number 9 position)
towards your body (refer to diagram B).
4. Turn the hand wheel (4) in the direction of
the arrow (anti clockwise) until the needle
descends into the foot-well.
5. Continue to slowly turn the hand wheel until
you notice the thread on the bottom spool
run across the bobbin (refer to diagram C).
6. Continue to turn the hand wheel until the
needle ascends. You should now be able tonotice the bottom thread looped over the
top thread (refer to diagram D).
7. Stop turning the hand wheel and carefully
pull the threads towards you this will result in
the bottom thread coming up through the
foot plate (19). Place both top and bottom threads towards the rear
of the machine under the foot.
Please note: You may need to repeat steps 4-6 a few times to achievethe looping.

6. FITTING FABRIC AND SEWING
1. Rotate the hand wheel in the direction shown by the arrow to raise
the needle to the highest position.
2. Lift up the foot lever (#14) to raise the feeder foot and put in the
fabric.
3. Lower down the foot lever.
4. Rotate the hand wheel two or three times to check the fabric
movement and stitching.
5. Turn the switch on and start sewing.
6. High or low speed can be selected by using the speed switch.
7. When sewing is finished turn the power switches off, rotate the
hand wheel and lift the needle. Raise the foot lever to remove thefabric and cut the thread.
(Please Note: If the fabric is difficult to remove, rotate the hand
wheel back and forth and the fabric should then come out easily).

7. ADJUSTING STITCHING
As shown in the diagram below, normal stitching has top and bottom
threading.
If the bottom threading looks like a straight line, this indicates the
top thread is too loose. Please turn the thread clamp clockwise to
increase pressure until the stitching returns to normal.
However, when the top thread looks like a straight line indicating an
over-tight top thread, slowly turn the thread clamp anti clockwise to
reduce pressure until the stitching is back to normal.
(Please Note: When adjusting the stitching, check whether
the top thread has come out. If so, replace back into position).

8. BOBBIN REWINDING
1. The rewind pole (3) is hidden inside the hand wheel (4) and is for bobbin
rewinding.
2. Press the pole and rotate it anti clockwise; the pole will spring out
automatically.
3. Release the spindle (8). This pulls up out of the top of the unit.
4. Place the full cotton reel onto the spindle (8).
5. Run the thread through the empty bobbins centre hole from left to
right. Then thread one of the holes on the bobbin.
6. Place empty bobbin on the pole (3). Wind thread from full reel around
the empty bobbin four to five times in a clockwise direction.
7. Guide thread as per the photograph.8. Turn power on and start winding. Avoid winding over the
bobbins edge.
9. Cut off the thread and take the bobbin off the pole (3).
10. Insert the pole inside the hand wheel (4) and rotate clockwise to hide
the pole (3).
11. Push spindle (8) back into the top of the unit.

9. REPLACING THE NEEDLE
1. Switch off the machine and remove the power lead and
batteries.
2. Loosen needle clamp screw (21) and turn anti clockwise.
3. Pull needle (20) downwards to remove.
4. Insert new needle into needle holder pole (13) from the bottom
with the flat edge away from you.
5. Replace needle clamp screw (21) back into original position and
tighten screw firmly with fingers turning clockwise (make sure this
is as tight as possible to avoid any problems when sewing).
10. USING THE FOOT PEDAL
Insert the foot pedal into the foot control jack (23). This can be used
instead of the power switch (1), allowing you to sew using both hands.
Make sure to unplug the switch after use.

11. CONNECTING THE ADAPTOR
The power supply for the adaptor shall have DC rated output of 6V
(rated current of 800MA shown in its voltage shall match the AC
voltage). Plug the adaptor into the adaptors socket and the power will
be connected. (Please Note: Before plugging in, make sure to set the
switch in the OFF position).
12.TROUBLE SHOOTING
