SuperfoodsSuperfoods are foods that are particularly ‘nutrient-dense,’ protecting you from toxins whilst

improving digestion - helping to keep your body in its best possible condition. Some superfoods protect against disease, some have anti-aging properties, and some little beauties do both.

WHAT TO DRINKWATER - drink 1:5-2L per day, you can always add lemons, mint and berries to pimp up

INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons of Chia Seeds¼ cup Coconut Water¼ cup Almond Milk (or milk of choice...)½ tablespoon vanilla powder1 tablespoon of Raw honey

DirectionsAdd all the ingredients into your pot and

#LSTeaLoves: EGGS GET A BAD WRAP WHEN IT COMES TO WEIGHT LOSS. (Ever heard someone tell you to eat them in small doses..?!) THIS BREAKFAST, LOADED WITH PROTEIN THAT WILL CURB YOUR APPETITE!

INGREDIENTS

DirectionsSlice bell pepper into 1cm thick rings,

removing the inside. Warm up oil in non-stick pan and fry rings on both sides until they become soft and turn a light brown colour. Carefully crack open an egg in the centre of each ring, fry until the bottom is crisp, adding chilli flakes, sea salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Not only is this dish delicious (say that three times in a row...) but it eliminates the need for egg rings, it’s innovative, and healthy!

DirectionsCrack the eggs in a medium bowl, careful not to

puncture the yolks and set aside. Cut avocado in half and remove seed, depending on how big the seed is the hole in the avocado should be large enough for one small egg. If the hole looks too small, scoop a little out until it fits the egg nicely.In a baking dish rest the avocado against the edge

so it doesn’t tilt over. Gently scoop out one of the yolks with a medium sized spoon and place it into

the hole of the avocado, repeat the action with the second half.Add sea salt and cracked pepper on top of the

eggs. Gently place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. For those of you who enjoy a little spice add hot sauce (bravo!) and serve with tomatoes and spinach on the side.A breakfast like this will ensure you have an egg-

halves to be baked. Begin by washing and cutting the grapefruits into halves, cut along the skin and sections to loosen the flesh. Drizzle one tablespoon of honey on top of each half making sure to get the middle also.

Sprinkle some cinnamon and pop in the oven to bake for 15 minutes until the edges begin to brown.Scoop the flesh out with a spoon and

discover how baking really enhances the grapefruit’s flavour.

DirectionsWe’re ‘keen-wah’ to tell you how to prepare

this dish... (Yep, had to again!)To cook quinoa on the stove, place it in water

and bring to the boil.Lower the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

When the quinoa is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl that you’ll be serving your salad in. Meanwhile in a separate bowl, combine the kale, lemon juice, olive oil, and sea salt.Get in there with your hands (don’t be afraid!)

and massage the kale so it’s well coated, and

set it aside to wilt for at least 10 minutes. When the quinoa has cooled, transfer the kale mixture, pomegranate seeds, avocado, onion, and additional olive oil to the bowl with the quinoa, and toss well. You can serve immediately or make this salad a day ahead and refrigerate overnight, at your convenience, #teatoxer!Prepare on Sunday night ready for the

perfect Mondayitis-fighting lunch.

1 cup Quinoa 1 Tbsp minced fresh corriander1½ cups of Water 2 Tbsps Lime JuiceSalt and Pepper 1 Tbsp of Extra Olive Oil½ Stemmed, seeded and finely chopped Red Bull Pepper 2 Tbsps of Dijon Mustard½ Stemmed, seeded and minced Jalapeno Chilli 1 clove of minced Garlic2 Tablespoons of minced Red Onion 1/2 Tbsp Ground Cumin

DirectionsIn a large saucepan over medium heat, toast

the quinoa. Stir often until it’s lightly toasted and aromatic, this should take about five minutes. Stir in the water and 1⁄4 teaspoon of sea salt and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and continue to simmer until quinoa has absorbed most of the water and is almost tender.In a rimmed baking sheet, spread the quinoa

out and set aside until cool and tender. When cooled, transfer the quinoa to a large bowl, stir in

the bell pepper, jalapeno, onion and coriander. In a separate bowl, whisk the limejuice, oil, mustard, garlic and cumin, then pour it over the quinoa tossing to coat. Season with sea salt, pepper and limejuice to taste. Prepared salad can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to two days.A handy one for those of us with busy

schedules (who doesn’t!) liking to prepare meals ahead of time.

DirectionsSlice onions, dice apple and chop almonds. Cook, chill and shred the chicken breast, or to

save time your local deli may stock chicken that’s already shredded. Toss ingredients together in a bowl with Greek yoghurt, mustard, sea salt and pepper to taste.Some of you may think that we’re a bit nutty for putting apple in a salad but it’s true what

they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away! (10 points!)

Dinner IDEAS

Since this is THE LAST MEAL OF THE DAY it’s important to make the right choices because you won’t eat for at least another 10 hours or so. Ensuring that there is a steady supply of glucose for the body to fuel off for essential processes whilst we SLEEP, IS CRITICAL.

A COMMON CAUSE of waking at night and sometimes even insomnia is when levels of sugar in the blood fall. The body then has to release stored glucose and this action can cause you to wake and sometimes difficulty in going back to sleep.

DON’T FORGET to finish your day with a EVENING CLEANSE TEA between 8 and 11pm! Nighty-night.

INGREDIENTS

DirectionsToss unpeeled-sliced-potatoes, with cinna-

mon, two tablespoons of olive oil and one ta-blespoon of sea salt and thyme. Arrange on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 25 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender and just beginning to brown.While potatoes are roasting, fill a large bowl

with cold water and ice.Bring a large pot of water to boil and salt

generously. Add haricot verts and cook briefly, one to two minutes or until beans are bright green. Remove and immediately plunge into ice water to stop cooking and set colour. Cut beans in half lengthwise. Combine greens, sweet potatoes, haricot verts, cranberries and walnuts in a large serving bowl. Toss with dressing to taste and serve!

DirectionsPlace a pan on medium to high heat. Drizzle

1⁄2 tablespoon of oil over the fish, add a pinch of sea salt and pepper and massage parsley into the salmon (skin side) – place down on the grill pan. Cook for five minutes and turn, cook for a further two minutes and turn, cook for another two min-utes before removing the fish from the pan and covering it with foil to keep warm.Wipe the pan out and add a tablespoon of oil to

heat up. Toss in the asparagus stalks and let them sizzle for 30 to 40 seconds charring and going brown, add in the garlic and chilli flakes and toss

the asparagus through.Continue to cook for a further one minute until

the asparagus is slightly tender; toss the flaked almonds through the asparagus and cook for an-other 30 seconds to brown the almonds slightly. Remove the asparagus and almonds from the pan and divide between plates. Slice the piece of salmon into small chunks and place on top of the asparagus. Finish off with the remaining olive oil, lemon juice and a sprinkle of sea salt and pepper to taste, delightful!

DirectionsBegin by preparing an ice bath – fill a large

INGREDIENTS

DirectionsOpen one can of chickpeas, drain, and rinse

under water. Spread them out on paper towel in order to dry them out.Perhaps layer paper towel on top to ensure

this is the case. Remove, place beans on a cooking sheet and drizzle and with olive oil.

Season with sea salt, or any other spices you would like. Bake at 200c for about 30 to 40 minutes, remove from oven and let cool. Add dried goji berries to the beans after they have settled.

DirectionsAdd lemon juice or vinegar to a medium bowl

and fill the bowl 2⁄3 full with cold water; set-aside for now. Core and quarter the apples;cut each quarter into two wedges so you end

up with eight wedges. Add to the lemon juice (or vinegar)/water mixture to soak. Meltthe cacao in a double boiler or microwave

until smooth. Finely chop the walnuts and place them in a small dish.Line a baking tray with wax paper and have

it ready to place the apple wedges on. Drain the apple wedges, and pat them dry withpaper towels. Working with one apple wedge

#Teatox tips

Be sure to have a minimum of six hours (nine, maximum) sleep, every-night! Meditation, yoga – all assist in weight loss, posture and ensure your positive mindset is present!
