Business Plan● Find a prime location that people frequent on a daily basis● Scope out and rent a restaurant within city streets● Buy ovens and all necessary equipment to create the Pizza Pot Pies● Hire a designer to style the restaurant in a rustic manner and to create the

design of the menus● Set up advertisements (flyers, posters, etc) around the city

● Start off with only the one shop location● As business increases and more money is raised, consider expanding to one

more location● This company will remain in New York City; it is not a franchise ● Having fewer locations may increase demand and popularity because our

food will only be sold in one location

Target Market

● We do not have any single specific target market; our restaurant is designed to be family-friendly

● Pizza Pot Pies means relatively quick to eat food, so it is open for busy people with jobs to stop by for a lunch break

● Since our pizzas have some specialties but also have the option for customizable pizza, just about everyone can order something they will enjoy

Money Needed to Start Up● In order to rent the restaurant store, buy all the necessary equipment, hire

labor, etc., we will require between $500,000-$750,000● To come up with the necessary money required we will:

○ Apply for bank loans/grants○ Seek out investors ○ Use personal investments○ Friends and family support○ Crowdfunding

Fund Raising● When first starting out our business it is likely that our sales will be low

because our business will just be starting out and there will be a low amount of people that know about the restaurant.

● As time goes by and our business becomes more well-known, our restaurant and its sales for pizza pies will be likely to gradually increase because our business is becoming more prevalent, acknowledged, and the quality of our food will become better as well.

Company Information● The name of our company is Eats a Pizza Pie.● We will rent out a restaurant for our business that will be located in New York City, in a

prime location, and provides easy access for our customers.● When first starting our business the restaurant will need:

○ One designer (with previous experience designing restaurant spaces)○ Ten servers (over the age of 18)○ Three chefs (each with a culinary degree and prior restaurant experience)○ Two hostesses (over the age of 16)○ One manager (with previous experience)

● As profits pick up we will be able to afford to hire more chefs, servers, hostesses, a graphic designer for our website, and more managers that specialize in different areas of the restaurant.

● In regards to money, we would need approximately $500,000 for set-up, equipment (ovens, condiments, etc.), and for the salary of our employees as our company begins.

● In regards to the human capital for the restaurant, with us as the owners, we must each have a business degree and have previous experience with working in the restaurant industry.

What is our business structure?● Our business is a general partnership

○ This type of business has complete liability and responsibility and also few restrictions. Unfortunately there are potential conflicts and continuity issues with a general partnership. However, both my partner and I are involved in all minor and major decisions and our profits are equally shared. Multiple opportunities for specialization are available as well for our type of business.

● Having a general partnership allows our business to be easily started, have a good potential for our business to grow and expand, and allow for our taxes to be individually filed.

● In order to lower the negative impact of our liabilities, we will sign a legal contract in which both of us are responsible for what happens to our business. This will potentially limit the conflicts between my partner and I.

● A potential liability faced under a general partnership is that myself and my partner are responsible for all of the money and debt included with our business, so if we face debt the creditors can go after our personal assets. To minimize this risk we will budget our money and distribute it wisely throughout our business.
