• First, set up your Rate Table:

 Site Preferences

In My eBay, select Site Preferences from the Account tab drop-down menu

Select ‘Edit’ for the Rate Tables under the Postage Preferences section

For each REGION For each LISTING

ItemA flat rate per item sold regardless of size or weight

Overrides any postage rates set within individual listings

Weight

A minimum flat rate per item plus a rate per kg 

Parcel weight (higher of actual or volumetric weight) must be set within each individual listing

Surcharge

A flat surcharge rate to be added to the flat rate in each listing

Flat rate postage must be set within each individual listing

• 15 Regions• 2 Service levels• 3 Methods

Select the Rate Table method you wish to use. You can use only one across your entire eBay account.

Fill in appropriate rates for both Regular and Expedited services for each of the 15 regions

• Next, create a Postage Business Policy:

Rate Tables only work withFlat Rate Postage

If you are not using Business Policies, simply select these options when creating each new listing.

POSTAGE RATE TABLES

For each individual listing, you will need to do the following:

ItemNothing more needed. The Rate Table will apply your preset amount per item sold based on the buyer’s postcode.

Weight

Enter the weight into the Weight field. To ensure you do not undercharge, you will need to enter the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight in line with how your carrier calculates chargeable weight. The Dimension fields in your listings are not used by the Rate Table feature to calculate volumetric weight.

Surcharge

Enter the base flat rate postage amount. A surcharge will be added based on the postcode of the buyer and the surcharges you have set in your Rate Table.

• Finally, apply the Postage Business Policy to listings
