Donning Step 1:

•List all needed items on a clean table in order,•Make sure you have taken off all jewelries, watches,•You must have a trained observer to supervise and assist you.•And you have been in surgical dressings already ( see the lady

in left photo)

Donning Step 2:

•Do hand hygiene with alcohol-based hand sanitizer.•Then put on the first pair of gloves after

ensuring that your hands are dry

Donning Step 3:

•Sit on a clean, stable chair•Then put on the shoes cover and

pull them up to your mid-calf

Donning Step 4:

•Put on the gown and make sure that the inner gloves are tucked under the sleeves of the gown

•You must have an observer to assist you

Donning Step 5:

•Put on the N95 respirator ( or powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs) and put the top strap first over your head and keep it above your ears.

•The bottom strap goes along the back of the neck. Then you must check to make sure that there's a seal.

Donning Step 6:

•put on the hood and pull it down to cover your hair and ears.

•Turn around to let your observer inspect you and go through range-of-motion assessment, to make sure that she can move freely and comfortably.

Donning Step 7:

•Put on the hood and pull it down to cover your hair and ears.

Donning Step 8:

•Put on the second pair of gloves and make sure that the cuffs are pulled over the sleeves of the gown.

Donning Step 9:

•Put on is a face shield, to protect the front and sides of your face.

•Now the donning has been completed.

Doffing Step 1:

•You observer must make sure that you don't get exposed.•an appropriate waste container with red bag must be ready.• turn around to let your observer to inspect the PPE to see if

it has visible contamination, cuts, or tears, and your observer must at a safe distance from you.

Doffing Step 2:

•disinfect your outer-gloved hands.•perform hand hygiene after each step of removing PPE.

Doffing Step 3:

•sit down and carefully remove the shoe covers in a chair specified for removing booties or shoe covers.

•You must also have a second chair to clean shoes, which will remain clean. It is important to note that these chairs have proper signage.

Doffing Step 4:

•disinfect and remove her outer gloves.• it's important to carefully remove the gloves.

Doffing Step 5:

• inspect your inner gloves to see if there's any visible contamination, cuts, or tears.

•perform hand hygiene again.

Doffing Step 6:

•Remove the mask carefully.•perform hand hygiene again.

Doffing Step 7:

•slowly and carefully remove the head cover.•Perform hand hygiene again.

Doffing Step 8:

• slowly and carefully remove the gown.• pull the gown away from the body, rolling it

inside out, only touching the inside of the gown.• if removing the gown poses a problem, the trained

observer can help with this.• You may step on the inside of the gown to help remove it.• perform hand hygiene again.

Doffing Step 9:

•remove the inner pair of gloves.•perform hand hygiene on the bare hands.

Doffing Step 10:

•When the hands are dry, put on a new pair of gloves.•This new pair of gloves is helpful to add another layer

of protection.

Doffing Step 11:

•remove the face shield by tilting your head forward, grabbing the rear strap, and pulling it over your head without touching the front of the face shield.

•perform hand hygiene again.

Doffing Step 12:

•sit on a clean chair and use a disinfectant wipe to clean your shoes.

•perform hand hygiene again.

Doffing Step 13:

• do hand hygiene again with the gloves on,• Then carefully remove the gloves, for the first

one, only grabs the outside of the glove and slowly pulls it off. For the second glove, while holding that glove with the gloved hand, slide your finger underneath the cuff and slowly pulls it off without touching the outside of the glove.

• perform hand hygiene on the bare hands.

Doffing Step 14:

•do a final inspection of her scrubs to make sure that there's no visible contamination.

•Now the steps are completed.

Doffing Step 15:

• Correct PPE Requires Slow Pace, Much Practice.
