Preserving the Landscape that Appears in a Fairy Tale for Future Generations The Four Seasons of the Yakachi River Embankments

童話にも残る景色を後世へ四季折々の矢勝川堤

毎年9月下旬から10月上旬にかけて、岩滑地区の矢勝川堤（やかちがわつつみ）では、東西約2キロにわたり300万本近くの彼岸花が咲き誇ります。堤の周辺では季節ごとに菜の花やコスモス、マツバボタンの景色が広がり、南吉も親しんだとされる童話の原風景が四季を通じて楽しめます。Newly three million red spider lilies bloom for about two kilometers east to west along the Yakachi River embankments in the Yanabe district from late September through early October every year. The scenery of seasonal flowers, including rape flowers, cosmoses, and moss roses, spreads around the embankments, and visitors can enjoy the scenery, which Nankichi also loved and depicted in his fairy tale, all year round.

神戸川・稗田川の浄化

生物の生息・生育環境を考慮し、川と人とのふれあいの場を創出するとともに、良好な環境の維持・形成に努めています。神戸川では、板山地区の竹を焼き、その竹炭を活用した水質浄化活動が行われています。Handa City is striving to create a place of interaction between the rivers and people, with consideration of the living beings and their habitat environment, and to improve and maintain the good environment.Water purification of the Gôdo River is conducted by using bamboo charcoal made from bamboo produced in the Itayama area.

ごんの秋祭りで、観光スポットになる彼岸花を守り育てています。全国から訪れる観光客から、元気をもらっています。秋になると、真っ赤に染まる矢勝川に訪れてみてください。

We are protecting and developing red spider lilies in the sightseeing spots for the Gon’s Autumn Festival. We get energy from cheerful tourists visiting from all over the country. Please come and visit the Yakachi River side that is stained in red with the flowers in autumn.
