Echelon Membership Committee Committee Descriptions ECHELON COMMITTEES Our membership is actively involved in the planning and execution of the various committee functions in order to move the objectives and goals of ECHELON forward. We encourage all members to join a committee that best suits their goals and passions. Committee Descriptions COMMITTEE FREQUENCY COMMITTEE PURPOSE � Membership

Monthly To identify, transition and position new and existing Echelon Members into key positions and opportunities that meet their unique skillsets and heart to serve. To communicate clearly to the existing membership of upcoming events, opportunities and to create a more personal interaction and touch point with existing and new members.
� Communications Chair: Open
Monthly To communicate to members and the public what Echelon is up to via social media posts, marketing materials, press releases, online blog and monthly newsletters. To collaborate with TSA and ensure that all Echelon related media is aligned to brand standards.
� Events Chair: Cami
Monthly To create awareness about Echelon and the work being done to recruit prospective qualified members. Events will also serve to unify current members and strengthen relationships.
� Red Pencil Project Chair: Lauren
Monthly To impact the next generation by coordinating with schools and raising the funds and supplies needed to meet students’ needs. RPP curriculum also provides quarterly touchpoints with the students as a mentorship program to impart value driven lessons to education and equip students.
� Fundraising Chair: Wallace
Monthly
To raise funds and supplies needed for Echelon events such as Red Pencil Project and Pau Hana and build a reserve in Echelon budget for other future purchases.

Monthly To maintain accuracy of budget and report updates of income and expenses to board monthly with the assistance of TSA liaison. Will also manage various committees’ budgets and work with Fundraising to ensure needed cash flow.
Who We Are Echelon is a community of diverse young professionals rising up to serve The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands and its important work to provide shelter, food, clothing, counseling and countless other services to thousands of men, women and children in need. Some of our focus areas include:
RED PENCIL PROJECT: The Red Pencil Project is a signature project started and led by Echelon Hawaii to provide disadvantaged elementary school-aged children with the educational tools to help them succeed. Members not only help to raise funds and deliver school supplies but also engage with students on an ongoing basis throughout the school year, providing interactive and educational experiences that highlight the Red Pencil Project’s imparted values of Giving, Empathy, Thankfulness and Compassion.
