These include students, professionals, educated and uneducated consumers. They are people that enjoy listening to music and want to be entertained and currently enjoy the banter of music radio but want more variety then other stations can offer.
From the Echo 2009 online listener figures, the average Echo listener tunes in for 68 minutes every time they connected to the online stream. With Echo on average receiving 75 new listeners everyday, this accumulates to almost 150 hours of new listener connections each day and almost 5248 hours of listening time from all listeners each day.
Programming Echo 87.7 FM programmes are broadcast on FM to Farnborough and the surrounding areas (Aldershot, Camberley, Fleet, Blackwater, Cove, Ash, Ash Vale and other near by locations). We also broadcast online to the whole of the UK and also received in 2009 listeners from 25 different countries around the world. Interactive EchoFM.co.uk provides listeners with a way of listening to Echo anywhere in the world with our 24 hour a day live stream which is received in 128kbps to ensure an excellent sound quality. Last year the Echo website received on average 200 hits per day. The new up and coming Echo website will allow listeners to view a daily updated blog from each presenter and keep up to date with the latest Echo news as well as local news. Also with a new system which is being implemented this year, podcasts will become available almost instantly after a show is finished and they can be downloaded on to iPods and other media players.
