  • IntroductionAspartofNewYorkCitysTakeCareNewYorkinitiative,thePCIPProjectisamultifacetedprogramtosupporttheadoptionanduseofAmbulatoryHealthRecords(AHRs)amongprimarycareprovidersinNYC'sunderservedcommunities.Itsmissionistoimprovepopulationhealththroughappropriatetechnologyandhealthinformationexchange.TheeClinicalWorkssystemwaschosenbyNewYorkCitysDepartmentofHealthandMentalHygieneastheirvendorofchoicetoaccomplishtheirgoals.TheMedicalAssistantandNursingstaffatdoctorsoffices,clinics,outpatient,ambulatoryfacilitieswillbeperformingtheirroutinetasksintheAHR(ambulatoryhealthrecord)systemeClinicalWorks.Thefollowingpagesdocumentanddemonstratethesystemfunctionsnecessaryforcompletingcommonmedicalassistantandnursingtasks.
