eAIMeAIM will…

transfer and maintain all of the data from the current OPSS Insurance HQ application for use in the new system.

allow direct online submission to the FAA by the responsible parties of OST Forms 4507, 6410 and 6411.

capture OST form information directly as entered without requiring Insurance Analysts to enter the information provided on the forms.



eAIMeAIM will…

provide a mechanism for electronic payment of the $8 filing fee for initial air taxi operator registration, and tracking paid fee against the registration.

send notifications to the appropriate Insurance Analyst(s) or department when applicants submit forms.

send notifications to the Principal Operations Inspector (POI) for the operator when an operator or insurance company submits a form.



eAIMeAIM will…

notify the applicant and the POI of the outcome of an application, i.e., approval, approval with restrictions, or rejection.

notify the operator and the POI of a change in insurance certification, such as a policy number change or cancellation of insurance.

document and track the status of an application submission and allow operators and ASIs to review economic authority status and information.



eAIMeAIM will…

provide economic authority status and information to WebOPSS for display within WebOPSS CHDO.

expand the use of “Insurance in a Non-compliant State” notification regarding economic authority and insurance status displayed in WebOPSS.



eAIMeAIM will…

in addition to “no economic authority” which currently generates a flag in WebOPSS for the operator, add alerts for: •no insurance; •amendment required (OST Form 4507); and•uninsured aircraft with specifics of which aircraft by registration number were rejected and why.



eAIMeAIM will…

update current insurance policy statuses to better represent the business process:

“In Progress”“Active”

“Pending Review”“Cancelled”

“Terminated”“Nonrenewal”



eAIMeAIM will…

provide the ability for operators and insurance companies/brokers to enter comments when submitting forms.



eAIMeAIM External Users

External users include air carriers and insurance companies and brokers.

The primary interface to the eAIM application for an external user will be the external eAIM website. This public website enables persons or entities to authenticate information using their eAIM specific account, provide all needed information to the FAA, and check the status of information submitted to the FAA.



eAIMeAIM External Users

External users will be required to register for user credentials with eAIM and provide additional user preference information to assist in communicating with the FAA.

Applicants will be authorized to access data related to their own organization. User authorization will be validated within the application.



eAIMeAIM Internal Users

FAA users include AFS employees, non-AFS FAA employees and contractors, and OST/DOT employees and contractors.

The eAIM internal website will be the primary interface to the eAIM process for authorized FAA and U.S. government personnel.

FAA insurance analysts will be able to access all parts of the eAIM application. Other FAA and U.S. government users will be able to “read only” data.



WebOPSS is responsible for maintaining air carrier OpSpecs which list the conditions and limitations of the air carrier certificate.

The eAIM System will make air carrier economic authority and aircraft accident liability insurance information available to the WebOPSS application.

WebOPSS will provide air carrier information to eAIM for processing air carrier economic authority and aircraft accident liability insurance information.
