As per the Industries Development Regulation Act 1951, you need to get license to operate in following industries

As part of the UPA Government’s National eGovernance Plan, the Commerce and Industry Ministry, on Monday, announced the launch ofan eBiz portal aimed at providing Government-to-Business (G2B) services for India’s investor and business communities.

The portal was launched by Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma at the CII Partnership Summit here. The portal was developedby Infosys in a public-private partnership (PPP) mode. Infosys has been selected as the concessionaire/ project implementation partner,and is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the eBiz solution.

The online single-window concept was visualised to enable businesses and investors to save time and costs and improve the businessenvironment. “The project aims to create a business and investor-friendly ecosystem in India by making all business and investment-relatedregulatory services across Central, State and local governments available on a single portal, thereby obviating the need for an investor or abusiness to visit multiple offices or a plethora of websites,” he said.

eBiz will create a 24×7 facility for information and services, and will also offer joined-up services where a single application submitted by acustomer, for a number of permissions, clearances, approvals and registrations, will be routed automatically across multiple governmentalagencies in a logical manner.

An in-built payment gateway will also add value by allowing all payments to be collected at one point and then apportioned, split and routed tothe respective heads of account of Central / State / parastatal (a quasi-governmental organisation, corporation, business, or agency)agencies along with generation of challans and MIS (management information systems) reports.

PMEGP a view:–PMEGP is a credit-linked subsidy programme merging erstwhile PMRY and REGP for generating self-employment through establishment ofmicro-entreprises, organize traditional artisans and un-employed youth, stop migration of workers and increase their earning capacity. It isa Central Sector Scheme. PMEGP virtually started after issue of guidelines on 25 September 2008.

PMEGP is implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) being the Nodal Agency at national level and State KVICDirectorates, State KVIBs and DICs at state level (IAs). They will involve NGOs, PRIs, SHGs, NSIC, Udyami Mitras etc in identification ofbeneficiaries, viable projects and training and also in implementation.

India is the second largest textiles economy in the world after China, however, its contribution to the global technical textiles market isinsignificant Unlike conventional textiles, which is highly export intensive, the technical textiles are import intensive.
