Economics and Business Summer Program 2013 Dear Professors and Students, The Universitas Padjadjaran would like to invite you to our second Economics and Business Summer Program 2013 on August 17th until 28th in Bandung, Indonesia. As continuing our last year Topic “Micro Business and Entrepreneurship in Indonesia”, this year you will learn and see how culinary business in Indonesia works by visiting some unique culinary businesses at different sides in Bandung. SPRING 2016 THE LOREM IPSUMS

Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran (FEB UNPAD) was established based on the Government Regulation No.37 on

September, 18 1957 on the Establishment of Universitas Padjadjaran. Prior to the decree, Faculty of Economics was initially attached to

Universitas Merdeka, which was established in 1952. Originally, there were two departments under the Faculty of Economics in 1957, namely

General Economics and Business Economics. At that time, the Faculty consisted of 486 students, including 400 new students and 86 students from Universitas Merdeka. All of 40 lecturers of FE UNPAD were non permanent lecturers, since at the early stages, the Faculty haven’t had permanent teaching staffs.

As part of the efforts for enhancing human resource performance, in order to enhance each individual's knowledge and skills, FE UNPAD has started developing its internet network. This internet network is not utilized as a mean to seek information alone but it is also utilized in the teaching and learning process with e-learning concept. By so doing, it is hoped that both the students and lecturers can simultaneously enhance their capability

and scientific insights.

Bandung is the capital city of West Java province, the country's third largest

city, and second largest metropolitan area in Indonesia. City with population about 7.4 million is located 768 meters (2,520 ft) above sea level,

approximately 140 km south eastern of Jakarta. The city lies on a river basin surrounded by volcanic mountains.

Many of restaurants, cafes, European boutiques, shopping center and luxurious

hotels were opened in this city, made it was dubbed as Paris Van Java. Moreover, the mixture of convenient

climate, varieties of entertainment facilities, hang-out points, and the cheaper fashion shops also makes Bandung being a popular weekend-break destination for people living in other cities.

CLIMATE AND WEATHER

Bandung and throughout Indonesia, there are only dry and wet season. The weather in Bandung has been reached 30 ºC, with coldest daily temperature reaches about 19 ºC. The climate in Bandung remains hot throughout the year, although between October and April, the weather is often rainy, with heavy downpours and more than the occasional tropical storm.

Summer Program in 2013 10.00-

Day 1 ~ 17th August In the morning, We will be off to Ciater, at where we will have our pre-tour for two days. At Ciater, we will be joining Indonesian Independence Day Celebration and visit one of the famous mountains in West Java, namely “Tangkuban Parahu”. In the afternoon, check in and lunch at the hotel. After that, you can have free time until at night we have dinner and enjoy the hotspring. Day 2 ~ 18th August After having Breakfast and check out of the hotel, we will go to the tea plantation around and have a tea walk. In the afternoon, we will be off to Bandung after lunch.
